The Sans-Serif Party Manifesto
The Sans-Serif Party is a party for modernist typographers and others who appreciate the benefits of a modernist typographical lifestyle. The SSP embodies three principles of modernist graphics design:
Cleanliness - The NSG of Sans-Serif Party's ideal is crisp and pristine, unmarked by colourful avatars, expansive signatures, or ads.
Simplicity - The Sans-Serif Party denounces the clash of fonts and the convoluted clutter that marks the design of the post-modern world. We strive towards the graphical ideals of the past, to return to the time when everything was - at most - two colours, and preferably made of glass.
Balance - The Sans-Serif Party seeks balance not only in NSG politics, but also in design. We welcome proponents of all sans-serif fonts, whether their school is Grotesque, Transitional, or Humanist. Welcome for Geometrists will be implemented in late 2009.
The Sans-Serif Party encourages all its supporters to help work towards a neater NSG by adopting our triad of design ideals, and also by recklessly throwing the entirely of your NSG parliamentary support behind us, the SSP!
