What's given you a great feeling recently?

For me it would be the fact that Hicham Yezza, a victim of a stupid law to get him deported for having a copy of the Al Qaeda training manual, something he used for a research paper, has got in touch with me for starting a group which protests against this.

So what has given you a warm feeling?

My cat sat by me for a while in front of the computer screen (in her favorite seat, an empty shoebox) and looked at lolcats with me. Then she fell asleep in the shoebox. It was nice to spend time with her, I'm going to miss her a lot when I move to USF next week.

<nerd mode> Seeing Ursan (http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ursan) get nerfed in Guild Wars and listening to all the n00bs whine, cry, sob, (ie: qq) about how this skill doesn't work any more. I laughed. Now the game is for those who know how to use real skills. </nerd mode>

The rower from Togo winning his country's first Olympic medal, and the come from behind victory for the Americans over the French after Bernard ran his mouth the day before.

Seriously though, did anyone watch the broadcast when it was determined that the Togo rower was going to win? I could have sworn the announcer's head was going to explode.

Also, my ladyfriend and I will be having a romantic trip up to the mountains in a few days.

And my family's getting an exchange student, also in a few days, and that's cool.

OK, so the boy has just announced that he's taking me to Dublin tomorrow overnight. Paying for the train, first class, paying for an amazing hotel, and paying for my drinks and food the whole time.

Sure, it's only 100 miles down the road, but its our first anniversary of going out and I was sure he wouldn't remember. I'm so, so impressed. As if I wasn't in love with him before this. Find me a better feeling and I will tell you that you are wrong.

edit: And, yes, I'd swallowed before I posted

Friends, excellent drinks at my favorite bar with friends, speed, weed, dusk-to-dawn philosophical conversations with friends while high and drunk... I think you get the drift.

Oh, and poetry. And a really great, really dirty dream about my ex, at least until I woke up and felt sorry for myself again.
