Oh god this is going such a beautiful, beautiful mess (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1190617/)

The 1/2 Hour News Hour is going to look like a great idea (http://weeklystandard.com/Utilities/printer_preview.asp?idArticle=15385&R=13BA92D4A8)

I thought he already tarnished his career with the news thing.

God I read through some of the script if that is what is in the second link ... horrible horrible writing if so

Nah, the second link was the script from that abortion of a show that was supposed to be the conservative version of the Daily Show. (It turned out to be the conservative version of punching yourself in the nutsack for five hours straight, only stupider.)

From the second link:

Zucker was still nominally a Democrat when George W. Bush was elected in 2000. "Then 9/11 happened, and I couldn't take it anymore," he says. "The response to 9/11--the right was saying this is pure evil we're facing and the left was saying how are we at fault for this? I think I'd just had enough. And I said 'I quit.'"

Yes, Jerry Falwell sure is a member of the Left.

To be fair, they do have the right to a political satire show that tilts right. That said, this wasn't it.

Does Zucker still have a career to ruin?

No. So I chose tarnish rather than ruin

I just read the second link  I had no idea it was possible for such high negative values of funny to exist. In the world of humour, thats just smashed right through absolute zero.

I think he's hoping for the support of 'South Park Conservatives.' Good luck with that. It still has to be funny...

Zucker wanted the films release to tie in with the September 11 anniversary. Stay classy.

Here's a little something to whet your appetite (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-w77sLtz754)

I thought the term was "South Park Libertarians". And no, in that case it doesn't have to be funny.

Never heard it that way. The book sayz 'conservatives' (http://books.google.com/books?id=EOt26lBpC9wC&dq=south+park+conservatives&pg=PP1&ots=CE0tA1HRsn&sig=GexKCs70MjC9yOkjwTkhJa8tdVw&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=1&ct=result#PPR7,M1) And I should have used the qualifier "kinda"

Do any of the people involved really have a career to be ruined? I mean when your main character is played by Chris Farley's brother and your biggest hits include Scary Movie 4 and BASEketball then I don't see anyone really losing any credibility.

I think Airplane! and Naked Gun were more than respectable achievements.

David Alan Grier plays a slave in a scene designed to show Malone what might have happened if the United States had not fought the Civil War. As Patton explains to a dumbfounded Malone that the plantation they are visiting is his own, Grier thanks the documentarian for being such a humane owner. As they leave, another slave, played by Gary Coleman, finishes polishing a car and yells "Hey, Barack!" before tossing the sponge to someone off-camera.

IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE OBAMA IS BLACK AND SLAVES WERE ALSO BLACK! HA HA! BOY IS THAT SOME WITTY WRITING!

...yeah, this movie looks pretty amazingly pathetic.

Zucker jumped the shark with The Naked Gun 2 1/2 and has never recovered.

He's a shadow of his former self. Sad and pathetic.
