Ok, I have almost certainly ruined my life by not doing enough to revise for GCSEs, nearly missing an Exam and generally mucking them up. So, What do I do now?
NB, I always think ive failed.

Pfft I didn't revise for my History GCSE and still got an A. A mate didn;t read any of the books for English Lit and got an A. I seriously advise revising for Science and Maths as top priority. They will be the hardest exams.

Retake them if you fail them totally, or forget them if you get good enough grades to do A-levels, as all but the big two don't give a flying feck about GCSE's when you come to apply for University. Either way, it isn't the end of the world. Admittedly, the first scenario would be annoying but it wouldn't ruin the rest of your life.

And then if you really fuck up, do them again at college in a year. GCSEs are not actually difficult, I did the Spanish GCSE from scratch in a year last year and nearly got an A* (3 marks off in my speaking exam :().

Perhaps you shouldn't have wasted so much time here?
Perhaps you should look into a well-paying trade?
Perhaps study for your A-Levels?
Seriously?
I did no work for my GCSEs.
I was convinced I'd screwed them up, badly. I was too busy skipping school, getting stoned, being generally very depressed, and drinking.
I came out the other side with two As, a few Bs, some Cs, and a D.
I then did four A levels, did essentially the same thing for them; I was convinced I was screwed. I got 3 Bs and a C.
I now have a degree in Modern History, and am currently studying for a second degree in Law, with a view towards being a solicitor (or, ideally a barrister, but, let's be honest, I couldn't afford going into that).
What I'm saying is that whatever you think you've done in your GCSEs doesn't matter. I was convinced I wasn't making it back to school. Now I have a degree, and am looking at the possibility of becoming a barrister, eventually,
Even then, I know friends who got horrendous GCSEs and are doing well for themselves. One got three Cs, four Ds, and a U, didn't get back for sixth form, and now, at the age of 23, makes over £30k a year working for HP in network technology.
GCSEs aren't the be all and end all of anything.

Don't worry too much about it.
Your A Levels are much more important than GCSEs, so if you think you've messed up, just and try much harder for the A levels.
Even if you did badly on your maths and English, you can always redo them at a college (not sure if 6th Forms let you do that).
Most universities will only look at your A Level results, and if you're doing a science, a goodish Maths GCSE grade.
I'm just saying you're life isn't over just because of a screw-up at such a low level, its always possible to get back up again :)

By revise, do you mean study?
I'd say, move to another country. (I'd vote for the US, because it's an English speaking nation with a radically different approach to how you enter into higher education.)
1. Move to US (maybe Norfolk, VA for familiarity's sake)
2. Enroll in Public school for 1-2 years depending on age
3. Do well in classes and take the SAT or ACT
4. Apply to Universities (and because you've acquired residency by living instate for more than a year, you get instate tuition.)
5. Get into a good school, (UVA, VT, W&M, VCU)
6. ???
7. Profit!

Results are in and, as was seen in the recent 'A' level results, the pass rate seems to be up once more.
Overall pass rate 98.4%
Overall A*-C grades: 65.7%
Northern Ireland A*-C: 74.5%
England A*-C: 65.5%
Wales A*-C: 65.0%
(source) (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/7574073.stm)
I find the stats a little confusing though. When I was at school only grade C and above was considered to be a pass. When did that change?
