SVT profile Agneta Bolme Börjefors has died after a two-year-long battle with cancer. At 13 o'clock today she peacefully passed on in the company of her husband and her son.
--snip--
During her long career, spanning from 1965 and onwards, she had time to host among others "Söndagsöppet", "Tolvslaget på Skansen", The Nobel Festivities, and "The Year with the Royal Family". She was also the voice of Drutten in 800 episodes of the puppet show "Drutten och Krokodilen".
--snip--
On June 6, the national holiday, she was presented with a medal by His Royal Highness The King Carl XVI Gustav.
--snip--
She was 67 years old.
How sad. I am typing here crying my virtual eyes out. How are we as a nation - nay, as a beacon on a hill shining stronger than all the others in this wretched world - to go on without this television personality? I've lost yet another reason to start watching the SVT I never watch. :(
Share my pain and despair, please do, NSG. Let us wallow as if Her Celebrity could read this from oblivion.

Who?
Agneta Bolme Börjefors, of course. Can't you read? Super famous, a cultural icon. She was on the telly!
/not caring
You mean, tawdry person you. How can you so blatantly not give celebrity due respect? But you do care about Agneta Bolme Börjefors - why else would you comment? I mean, the less discerning among us would certainly think you commented because you want to make a statement as to the idiocy of Internet celebrity death wank-fests, but those truly wise know that you comment because you care about Agneta Bolme Börjefors personally (may her non-existent soul be unperturbed).

Ehhh, there was no thread. Fass is trying to act high-brow by alluding to a satirical pamphlet published in the late eighteenth-century by a British author. He stated that the solution to overcrowding and the lack of food for the population was to eat babies.
I'm reaching back a few months to my third-year BA module, but I think thats the gist of it. I can't honestly remember what he was actually satirising, but the point was that the majority who read the pamphlet didn't realize it for being satire and were revolted.

I was replying in earnest?
Really, what makes this not good satire is that it is identical to other threads of this type. Only the poster and the dead person differ. A parody, perhaps. But hardly at the level of satire. While it is clearly an attack on this sort of thread, this can only be ascertained by knowledge of who wrote it, and not by the content. Were this anonymous, it would not work as an attack. This, quite simply, is not satire.
Perhaps I'm just jaded because I've seen far more ludicrous and fawning responses to someone's death posted in utter seriousness.
Edit #lots: Honestly, it reads more as a satire on people who don't know how to use commas correctly than as a satire on death threads.
