How well would you survive?

I'm a reasonably physically weak, massively unfit (while being overly thin), 22 year old girl who uses guys to do the things I should probably do myself but can't really be bothered doing.

I'd be in a whole world of trouble in pretty much any of the situations in that quiz.

That quiz is pretty innacurate though... ie: Snake bite - compression immobilisation bandage.

8/17. Being in the UK I scored 100% on the ones most likely to happen (criminal attacks me with a gun/a dog is sicced on me and suchlike somewhat more likely than tornado or desert conditions) and completely fucking sucked on the other ones.

12 out of 17 Not bad~ still alive a little wounded, but I'll take it.

16 out of 17, with the only one I missed being what to do when bitten by a snake. I'd be fine, so no worries on my part.

three choices only?? the dog one, i would have kicked it pretty hard in reality..

I didn't bother with the quiz, I've encountered this sort of thing before. Basically, I'm screwed if it so much as snows more than an inch.

I got 11 out of 17.
I failed all the animal ones and one of the Terrorism questions, mainly because I knew the "right" answer, but like Hell am I going to drop to the floor and curl up in a ball while being attacked by a dog.
This test sucks, though, for want of a "piss my pants and cry for mommy" option. If most of the people taking the test were being honest, that would probably be the popular choice.

Note how the quiz says nothing about how not to get into situations where your survival is in danger....

Some odd questions in there - 'You are dying of dehydration. What do you do?'
Answer's in the question, really... you do the same thing you'd do if you were dying of anything else.
And if staying still and waiting for help is a viable option, how much of a survival expert do you need to be?

I got 11. A lot better than I expected. I thought I'd be one of the first to die in any situation of peril.

First, I missed on lying in the shadow if dying of dehydration; it appeared to me that rescue is not to be expected.
Second, rationing water in the desert.

But a good test. Difficult (I'm surprised how it's possible to get all 17 - some questions like the first one I missed are strange), and explains the stuff.

What's alarming is that most people only get ~10 - and given that many times 2 answers out of 3 are correct, that means they could as well answer at random! We really need to teach this stuff at schools, not just this, a lot of other things as well, and have mandatory exams.

9/17, got all the bank robbery questions and missed all the manmade disaster one. XD

I'm calling bullshit on those animal attack ones. If an *aggressive* dog is after you, standing still isn't going to do shit. I mean, it's aggressive, it already wants to bite you.

And for the snake bite it said run and try to get help because tying off the wound and draining blood may cause tissue. I think I'd rather lose a hand than die from snake poisoning, personally.

I'd survive great, since i possess The Worst Case Scenario Survival Guide books (well, most of 'em) AND the board game!

What's even better is when you've already lived through the circumstances, and found that your own option, unlisted of course, resulted in your not being maimed at all, lending less credibility to their options.

Well, my *books* hint i would survive, and i would like to think i possess enough guile to make it through, but i somehow can't manage to get into the program in the first place without it crashing. Not sure what that says about me, but i have a clue i'm gonna be told.

I am instructed to feel free to taunt the predatory animal of my choice . . . I certainly agree with the earlier comment that this should be taught to school children, particularly of a young age.

I do agree, though, that a couple of the questions where weird. My trademark luck at entirely inconsequential things pulled my through the guessing rounds, though.
