Alright fellow MGS fans, tell me: Who do you think is the best Snake? I put my vote down for Solid Snake. What about you, fellow MGS fans?

He's so bad that MGS baised solid snake off of him.
Snake Plissken was the main inspiration for the character Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid video game series. In Metal Gear Solid 2, Solid Snake goes undercover under the name of Iroquois Pliskin as a tribute to the protagonist of Escape from New York. It can be said that the eye patch that Big Boss wears mirrors that of Plissken.

Fairly easily. The last console I owned was an NES I got for Christmas in '87, and I didn't even have that many games for it. My primary video game system has been the PC for many, many years.

I was in a stalemate between Naked Snake and Solid Snake, but in the end I went with Naked, because he could wear a tux! But it's verrrrry close, the box puts Solid at a close second. Only a tiny iota in 2nd.

I've been an avid gamer since the late 80s. The term "gamer" doesn't necessarily mean consoles. When I mention such gaming classics as X-COM and Zork to console gamers I get confused looks, which is probably as unthinkable to me as not knowing Metal Gear is to you.

Also, in MGS3 Naked Snake could use the box. Didn't exactly work in the jungle, (trust me I tried it out), but he had one.

In "Twin Snakes" after getting both endings Snake wears a Tux.
We never got to see Solidus really use any of his skills sadly. But still taking out a Metal Gear Ray with one burst from a P90 has to take some skill.

Unthirded. Snake had so much more personality, after the first two games at least.
I only really thirded because I actually never played the MGS series. I did play all of the originals on the MSX, though.
