A climate change protester unsuccessfully tried to superglue himself to Prime Minister Gordon Brown at an event in the leader's residence, a government spokesman said Tuesday.

Dan Glass, a 24-year-old member of Plane Stupid, which campaigns against airport expansion, tried to attach himself to Brown's suit as he was about to shake hands with the premier at his Downing Street residence.

So NSG, I ask you: what political figure would you try to superglue yourself to?

I approve of this immensely and I would superglue my right foot to Rick Santorum's groin at high speed.

hmmm... Isn't Angelina Jolie some sort of UN goodwill ambassador? And if so, would she qualify as a political FIGURE? Yeah, I might consider that as a possibility.

Her skin is mostly plastic, though. Superglue would melt it.

Wow. This is absolutely brilliant! It would be great to see this as the world's most popular form of non-violent protest against politicians. :)

You know that your protest sucked when they don't even try to chuck you out. According to the BBC (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7520401.stm), he was there for 40 minutes after the attempted supergluing and he then failed to glue himself to the railings outside.

I'd be far more sinister and sabotage a donut to put sticky jam all over Gordon Browns Hands!

I think we have all experienced this dilemma

A large number of protesters, over the years, tried to superglue themselves to Tony Blair. Unfortunately for them he was just too slippery.

No, you have it all wrong! We need to superglue politicians TO EACH OTHER.

I would start by getting the respective leaders of the BNP and the Nation of Islam and supergluing them to each other. Or to either side of Hillary Clinton.
