For those of you who watch(ed) Golden Girls - Estelle Getty (Sophia) just died. Sophia was my favorite character on that show even though I'd have shot her if she had been my mother. Of course, if Dorothy (Bea Arthur) had been my daughter, I'd have shot myself.
And no, there's no point to this thread beyond paying some sort of tribute to a great comic actress.
I preferred Carol Burnett.

She was a supremely funny lady. And she lived a long life even though the last few days probably weren't the best for her or her family. Her death wasn't untimely but it is very sad. We have lost a true comedic genius and one of the very few with the absolute perfect timing she had. My heart goes out to her family.
