and in an odd and very cool way it is both a sequal and prequal, dam dont you hate time paradoxes. very weird thing was john said the future wasnt what his mother warned him about. Maybe skynet has almost completely ahnillated humanity. maybe there is nothing no skynet no humans... maybe humanity lost right in it's first battle. maybe skynet didn't attack with nukes but with atomic bombs! who knows but all i know is it isnt your granddad's Terminator.

Uh... nuke is a slang term for an atomic bomb. Or a missile, I guess. And although it pains me to say it, I wouldn't get my hopes up about this one. It's directed by McG. Who's McG, you ask? He directed Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, and... uh ... that really annoying Smashmouth music video. I'm pretty sure he sold his soul to direct this movie, and I'm absolutely sure he'll screw it up.

I Dunno bout that friend. If Christian Bale joined up you know at least it will be of average quality. and besides its Friggen Terminator, if the guy failed it some random nerd might put a hit on McG for like very pricy collectables that are worth a shatload of cash on EBAY 2.0

Christian Bale is a good actor, but no actor can save a really shittacular flick. Robert DeNiro is a better actor than Bale, but did you see the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie? I rest my case. And Hollywood assholes like McG never think they can die, so fear is of no consequence in this case.

This will either be really good, or mindfuck inducingly bad.

To be honest i just want more Soundtrack, lol...Wasnt enough terminator theme in the Sarah Connor Chronicles, lol...

The whole Terminator franchise is experiencing the same disastrous loss of quality which has already destroyed Star Trek and Alien.

The first movie was incredible. It is probably the only action movie where I would use the word "elegant" to describe the plot. It not only had great action, but good acting and writing as well.

The second film had much better visual effects, a fairly strong story, and excellent writing and acting. It did, however, suffer from some plot holes and rather contrived bits, more so than the first film. Its saving grace was probably how well-written and acted Sarah Conor was, plus the shear visual awesomeness of the liquid metal Terminator.

The third one was a standard action movie, nothing more or less.

The new TV series struck me as incredibly corny, and its existence ignores the problem that the premise of Terminator probably cannot sustain a lengthy TV series.

I am not optimistic.

No.

They really should just make The Second Renaissance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Second_Renaissance) into a live action movie. It has a much better and more believable plot than the Terminator series. *nod*

The switch from a cyborg back to a human protagonist eliminates a whole host of possibilities which one has come to expect from this franchise.

I expect this to be Terminator's last gasp.

This movie will be either really good or really terrible, I'm hoping it's awesome.

Then again the whole premise is that when you muck around with time as part of a war there are consequences even bigger than nuclear explosions.

when they release more trailers and shit we will find out. and i thought nukes and atom bombs were diffrent, i thought nukes were mega explosions and atomic bombs reduced everything into tiny seperate atombs.

nope, nukes are atom bombs. This looks good, hopefully they get it right this time.

Please. the best railer in that film was, be all and end all, the Watchmen trailer. I'm actually thinking that an Alan Moore graphic novel can be accurately portrayed on film. After V for Vendetta...:gas:
