Lately it has seemed that John McCain is being caused more problems from the people who speak for him than he himself creates. With the resignation of Phil Gramm we must recount McCain's reactions to these people. Between Phil Gramm and the comments about Viagra, McCain is being hurt from his own camp. Is this worse than Rev. Wright for Obama? McCain has just looked astonished when asked by reporters about these two comments. I know that this doesn't mean McCain believes these things, just as Rev. Wright does not mean Obama is a raving radical. In the age of goldfish memories and 24 hour media cycle, will the surrogates take down the candidates?
