Breaking: What Else Jesse Jackson Said on That FNC Tape

TVNewser has been sent the transcript of what Jesse Jackson said Sunday morning July 6, as he prepared for an interview on Fox & Friends Weekend. Below is the partial transcript we received in our tips box, and confirmed to be authentic by Fox News Channel representatives.

Barack...he's talking down to black people...telling n—s how to behave.

So, yes. Jesse Jackson did use the "N" word. But it was not directed at Barack Obama. Fox News and Bill O'Reilly have maintained there was more on the tape, but that the un-aired portion was not relevant to the issue at hand: about whether Obama was "talking down" to the black community.

So is this in any way OK? How does it affect BHO. if at all?

i helps obama. anything that distances him from jackson is good.

now im wondering what jackson thought he was doing? is he friends with the guy he was talking to? (i dont recognize the black guy jackson was whispering to) or does he think that that is the way to talk to any "brother"? is he always so foul?

jesse jackson isnt my favorite public person. im kinda hoping that this can pave the way to sending him firmly out of the public eye.

He won't get much backlash from this, because remember kids, it's ok for black people to say the N word!

Yes he will - he has spoken out against the word. Besides, I don't think anyone really likes him and have been looking for reasons to push him further out of the public eye. He should retire.

I'd love to send him and Sharpton out to sea on a tiny raft and one can of food.

They'll fight over it *nod*

Of course. Why wouldn't it be?

Jesse Jackson is, unsurprisingly, annoyed for ultimately understandable reasons. Let him be. No point whining about it.

It doesn't matter that he's spoken out against it. Guys like Jackson have a loyal following (small though it may be) and such people will always give them a pass no matter what.

no that is not julian bond.

its taken me all this time of looking to find out who the other guy was.

he is Dr. Reed V. Tuckson who was on the show as a guest with jackson. i dont know if he and mr jackson know each other but at least it explains why no one has done an interview with him asking the question id love to know the answer to "what were you thinking when jackson whispered this stuff to you?" after all the man is stone faced through it all, neither agreeing nor showing concern at the words being used.

That's awesome! My opinion of Jesse Jackson just went up a notch.

I doubt it will hurt Obama at all, at least as far as votes are concerned. Jesse Jackson's opinion tends to have the most weight among left-leaning African Americans, and that group is pretty much a lock for Obama with or without Jackson's blessing. Not that Obama has the entire African-American vote sewn up, but the swing voters in that demographic are more likely to think positively about the very speech Jackson was complaining about -- the one where Obama was basically channeling Bill Cosby -- than to agree with Jackson.

considering how fox is stretching this story out, im guessing next week some "weasel" will "leak" the tape.

People always say this sort of thing but in general both humor and non humor seems to be more acceptable and deemed less harsh if it is self depreciating rather then continually picking on someone else

Regardless of if any particular "race" is involved

(I bring up humor because it is often a place that "edgy" topics are brought up)

Of course there are exceptions but they seem a lot less frequent

I think it's a remarkable example of poetic justice.

How many times ahve we seen Jackson and his clone, Al Sharpton hammering away at someone for a perceived racial slight no matter how much the target apologized? Look at Imus... What he said was stupid but you'd have thought he'd led a lynch mob. He apologized all over himself but Jackson and Sharpton weren't satisfied until he was off the air, and even then ignored his apologies.

So now Jackson is learning what it's like to be in the crosshairs, and he apparently isn't liking it much.

Jesse Jackson's probably just bitter because he ran as "the black candadite" and lost, and Obama ran for "President of America", and is winning.

As for helping or hurting Obama, it could hurt him if this is a sign of the attitude of the black comunity in general towards him. If anything though, it'll help him with moderates and "working class whites"(CNN euphamism for racist) to be distanced from Jackson. It'll help quiet any black nationalism rumors hanging around from the Reverand Wright affair.

PS: While I don't really see why he should have to apologise for speaking his mind, and I highly question the sicerity of said apology, the irony of Mr Jackson having to apologise for inapropriate comments is delicious.
