We all know that sexual harassment against women is a problem and that women frequently don't report it because it's either "he said, she said," or fear of repercussions. It seems now that men have the same problems and many don't report it because they feel emasculated by the process. Whatever the reason, it's demeaning and destructive to everyone.

So, guys, how about it, if you were harassed, would you take it, report it, follow up on it, or turn it into a joke?

It's best just to avoid it altogether at work. You never know who will complain, or when. If a relationship goes south, the claim may come up.

This really depends on circumstances.

Is it:

A) Receptionist says something snarky about my chest hairs.

B) Client lady puts hand on my shoulder, and whispers into my ear what I have to do if I want to land that major project.

Or some scenario in between?

And in the case of B) am I

C) currently facing a full workload.

or

D) short on new projects. There are laborers with children who have to be fed.

Bookstores and libraries are absolute hotbeds for sexual activity. When I worked at the campus library, I caught a couple in the basement stacks and got fifty bucks to keep quiet about it.

sexual harrassment suits are just anoter way for people to harrass others they don't like, only now with the legal system...

if some one is being harrassed at work, granted that they deserve fair repressentation... but as we all know we live in a world ruled by mega-corperations, so the concept of fair repressentation has long since been thrown out hte window...

depends on by whom, and how often...

some one makes demeaning comments over and over: bide my time until i can say something truly hurtful that will make her/him want to quit her job, or commit suicide or something like that. yeah, i could get fired, its worth it though.

Some one makes unwanted advances: i just pretend not to notice (actually its hillarious, they get so frustrated.)

Some one makes violent advances: reply with violence in greater measure, if it goes to court claim self deffense and 'you thought they had a knife'.

some one i find attractive makes advances: let my girl friend know we'll be having company over that night...

Some one is just an asshole, and uses sexual leverage: depends on the person... trying to hurt them with words is a possibillity, maybe i'd start a suit (but only if i was REALLY pissed) and possibly simply a violent reply in which they are beaten to a pulp... most of these work.


Now, i realise some of these options cause legal problems... a lot of things in life do.. the key is knowing when and how you can get away with it. and one solution that ALWAYS works is violoence, it may not be a good solution, and it may cause more problems, but it always is A solution...

i suck at spelling... but for reffrence... dude, we're on a forum, it wouldn't be weird for 1337 to show up in the discussions... arguing for the purity of the english language is like arguing for the purity of the sewage desposal system... infact english is so impure a language that it is known to beat up other languages in dark alleys so it can steal their words.
