I'm bored so I need to find a pass time for when I have nothing to do, like now. So can anyone reccomend to me good online games that I could play? Preferably browser based, I can't download stuff onto these computers, otherwise I probably would of downloaded a VBA lol.

Its a fantasy game in a medeival like era. Its ok, Similar to Cybernations in a lot of ways.
You could also refresh your browser and look at the top right of this forum for various advertisements of free browser based games.
Flash games!
I play them for 8 hours straight at work!
Well, there's NationStates.

Okay, and I know I could look at the banners but I'd rather have a more ... informative description before I go onto them.

I personally play Ikariam at the moment. Used to play archmage, planetarion and a whole bunch of others. The games sadly aren't really that interesting for casual players as at some point you either:
a) Have to join alliance that requires you to be active and spend ever more time playing the game, see bottom.
or
b) Become farm for said alliance for the sole reason of being in way of their expansion or not building enough defense or because you casually attacked one of them.
or
c) Enter endless circle of "get attacked - rebuild", remaining roughly between two mile posts ad infinitum or until you end up with the possibility b) after taking too much beating.
At the other end of the spectrum is of course playing actively and trying to be part of winning alliance which ends up taking ridiculous amounts of time and money. Yes, money. Most of these games have option of using real money to boost your nation/country/planet/whatever, and the people who are going for the win are pretty much required to spend to stand a chance.

Really? In most of the games that I have played after joining an alliance I did not have to be very active in the game or alliance as long as I fought in wars, honored treaties, ect.

Fighting in wars sort of requires you to be regularly active?

Hey anyone remember the game Darkthrone?
I remember finding it a few years ago and then got all my friends at school to play it, after a few motnhs we got bored of each on it and ditched it. I rejoined earlier this year but i lost my password so i couldn't be arsed to go back on it.

Ferion was a bit ridiculous in the sense that it was very slow and quiet complicated. Fun though, I never quiet got the hang of being succesful at it though.

Not exactly an online game(actually, quite the opposite) but it WILL absorb your time.

There is this one site where technically everything is browser based but they are actual games. They just released some game that is the spiritual successor to Starsiege: Tribes. Of course I forget what it is, I'm sure you can Google it given that.

this is an rpg style online game thats totally free, it is a really cool layout if youve ever played runescape or shining in the darkness on sega you would have a basic understandig of it. It's essentially a dungeon crawler type sort of like D&D but much less story driven and much more mindless hack and slash. Which to me is a great way to pass the time. When you use the link i provided it will give you a more comprehensive description as to what the game is all about. There is alot of options for your profile and character custimization so long as you dont expect oblivion or world of warcraft out of a FREE online rpg. You can upload a pic of your basic character concept and you are able to write in your characters profile or hell even your own. Long and short of it guys and dames is have fun use the link give it a shot if you dont like it fuck it.

Zombie, meet RPG-7, RPG-7, meet zombie. Too bad the chainsaw was nerfed a fair bit from the original.

I don't know how you construed in anyway what I said to mean a website where none of the games are browser based and are all just need-to-install demos.

Just what it says: a space flight simulator. Very much on the realistic side, so don't go expecting Star Wars X-Wing crazy stuff. Also perfectly safe, so your IT peeps'll be just fine with it. Your boss, on the other hand...;)

"Planeshift" Is a good game (Still uncompleted though. Alpha... I think.) It's heavy on the Ingame RPing, and has a wonderful background and storyline.
Also, Sryth(Or maybe syrth...Darn fictional spelling..) is a good online text-only game.

Hmm depends on what you like. Here's a bunch that I play:
Hattrick (http://www.hattrick.org) - an online soccer manager game
Footstar (http://www.footstar.org) - a game where you're the player. If you pay, you can also manage a team. Personally, I'm fine just being a player.
Popmundo (http://www.popmundo.com) - you can be a rock (or rap, r&B, metal, DJ, etc etc.) star
Games I used to play:
Freekick (http://www.freekick.org) - another soccer manager game
Sokker (http://www.sokker.org) - same as above
Other games:
Maple Story (http://www.maplestory.com/) - free online rpg. kinda cutesy though
I'm sure you can also just go on Miniclip (http://www.miniclip.com) if you're just after a quick gaming fix :P
If I think of some more I'll post them.
