Question for Verizon wireless customers

So, apparently my friend is having problems txting me on her cell phone. She says that she sends me txt before going into work in the morning but I never got them. This has happened on Saturday and Sunday. She swears up and down that she txted me. Which I find strange because usually if a txt didn't go through then the phone would tell you that it failed and ask you if you want to retry. What's also strange is that this only happens in Charlotte, but when she's in her home town, I get her txts just fine. This isn't the first time this has happened. My ex even claims that she sent txts to me that I never got (back when we were going out from Oct. 07 to Jan. 08.)

Has anyone else had this problem or are these two people just lying to me?

When I had my service through them there was about once or twice a year where I would get extreeme delays (like 24 hours) on sends and sometimes some odd duplicate recipt behavior as well as some drops (though never was in a sutuation where I tracked down if the person actually did not recive it durring thoes times)

I would not be supprised

One I can do reasonably in a 3 day series of meetings that I do not have to pay attention to and the other I can not ... Texting and emailing from the phone is handy for me

Not just Verizon. I have had that happen with 3 different carriers, even when I set them to 'high priority'. And no it does NOT tell you if your text didn't make it. So I really doubt that your friends are lying about that.
