What have you recently rediscovered...

...that brings joy to your life? A song, an album, a book or something else entirely?

For me it is one thing that has been around since my childhood, something millions loved and still love. That thing is....

Cartoon Network! Yes I am 19 but the joys of Dexter's Laboratory and the like seem funnier to me than most sitcoms. Call me an immature man but that is what I am!

Italy is great. However claiming it for Spain may not go so well. They still think Spain is a province of the Roman empire.

Over the past few weeks I've been fortunate enough to find some music I'd been looking for without success for the last 5 or 6 years. I love the local used music stores.

I also enjoyed re-reading Eragon and Eldest in preparation for the upcoming release of Brisngr.

Re-inventing the wheel is something most people complain about doing. However, I find the challenge, both in terms of dexterity and mental planning, makes it an enjoyable hobby that can be done almost anywhere, assuming you have a quarry and short-term memory loss.

Okay, serious answer.

I've rediscovered that I love cycling & hiking. Three weeks in a mountain town and two summits of 14,000-ft. (4300-m) mountains helped me rediscover how good it feels to be physically exhausted after a worthwhile exertion.

Insert masturbation joke here.

Aw, c'mon. So I have a weakness for long fantasy novels. What interests me about that series is that Paolini wrote the first book while in school, and it was (imho) far superior to Harry Potter.

Oh, man, I love that thing. "An abortion party is like a baby shower, except the mother can drink" is the kind of thing that makes me laugh and then feel guilty for laughing and then mock myself for feeling guilt over.

Drawing. Since my break-up coincided with the last day of school (and thus my job) I've had loads of empty time on my hands, and one of the things I've started doing is sketching a bit. Mostly faces, looking at pictures. It's very soothing and aggravating at the same time, strangely.

I've also rediscovered foods I liked as a kid, which are very comforting when I'm upset. Capri Suns, HandiSnacks, string cheese, etc.

Just got the soundtrack to last of the Mohicans.:D

Fills me with sorrow at the story and guilt for being an American.
(Though technically, it wasn't the U.S. back then)

Amazing soundtrack, amazing movie. If you haven't seen it, I advise you do.
