A group in San Francisco is gathering(and may have enough) signatures to have their proposal to rename a water treatment plant voted on. They hope to name it the George W. Bush Sewage Plant.

I, for one, lol'd and would all kinds of support this. Would YOU?!

a water treatment plant

That seems to be the actual opposite of a crap factory, IMO.

Hey, Southern Methodist University shouldn't be the only place to host a memorial to Bushit.

I spend all day listening to the radio while I 'work', then come home and post on NSG.

True, but I like to pretend I can hide behind artistic license :)

You know make-believe has never stood a chance to my cynicism.

Fass has a point. Perhaps a nuclear waste dump would be more appropriate?

hehe, yes.

I spend all day listening to the radio while I 'work', then come home and post on NSG.

I was referring to the fact that a group of people in San Fran. actually took time out of their lives to re-name a water treatment plant....

They either have too much time on their hands, or they really really hate Bush.

Five bucks says the majority of the group have no jobs.

I think Iraq and Afghanistan, Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay are testament enough.

So it's going to put the city billions of dollars in debt, lose or steal millions more, relax environmental standards to the point where it will treat absolutely no waste, add thousands of useless sinecures to the waste management department, be secured by Blackwater mercenaries and be managed solely by illegal immigrants and the least competent employees in the city and invade Nevada for its raw sewage at a cost of tens of thousands of San Franciscan and Nevadan lives?

I think its brilliant.

If I were GB I would support this. It would be unique. He would be the only President with a Waste Disposal facility named after him, and the people of San Fransisco would have to be happy with it if the election won. They would be forced to remember him regardless of how lame they think he term in office was.

Excellent way to keep the memory of the work he has done as President alive and in people's minds.

a city official stressed that Oceanside offered "extraordinary environmental benefits".

"That's not our understanding of what the authors of this initiative believe the current president has delivered," said Tony Winnicker of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.

Now that I've given this a contemplation, I realize we shouldn't name the plant after Beloved Dear Leader.

You see... a water treatment plant takes in all sorts of shit, crap and piss and filters them out and sterilizes what's left over. Simply put, a water treatment plant takes shit and cleans it up.

Dubya is quite the opposite. He takes something clean and turns it into shit.

Maybe a more fitting tribute would be to introduce "Dubya" as a slang term for shit. As in "I've eaten too much, I need to go for a Dubya". Its most unfortunate that "Bush" as a slang term is already taken.
