Because if FOX News is truly "Fair and Balanced" it doesn't need to resort to visual Ad Hominems on its opponents right?

Funny, Ironic and Hypocritical considering how FOX News was one of the first right-wing media outlets to pounce and howl when the AP released that picture doctored by the freelance photographer.

It's neither funny nor ironic - you expect Fox News to be arrogant, hypocritical assholes.

I see Gauthier is still watching a lot of Fox News. Didn't you know that leads to brain damage?

How do you miss a big change like that? One moment, fairly normal, next picture, FRANKENSTEIN! Seriously, how?

They don't show the normal picture. That would be funny. But instead they are just being asshats playing off the fact that 90% of their constituents trust everything they say, show, and do implicitly.

They show them through the actual video, and then they show the changed picture. Also, why I don't watch Fox news. Especially after the "Mass Effect" Screw-up.

I just watched the video and I didn't see either of the original pictures. All I saw were the two altered ones.

I have met both journalist in question before. Fox didn't alter the photos. they used unaltered ones. the journalist in question alter their official photos to look better. It is a common thing to do online since highschool.

Hahah, yes, because people are naturally born with photoshop smears. Something in the water, perhaps.

You're kidding - look at the pictures, one version in each case is clearly digitally altered and the other isn't.

Either you're saying they altered the photos to make themselves look worse or you're plain lying.

This is what we're using to attack Fox News? The fact that they used altered photos, it's not because that they generally suck as a news organization?

ugh...

Media Matters is quite the un-biased source.

"Fox News gave no indication that the photos had been altered."

Really? What is this part of the conversation?

"DOOCY: Oooh! Very, very nice.

KILMEADE: -- Radar Online has unlocked the mystery. And there you go, because that story was oddly in the Arts section of The New York Times, in the Sunday Times.

DOOCY: Anyway, we just thought we'd -- cute. I wonder if he's going to show him at Westminster this year.

KILMEADE: I'm not really sure. We know a beagle won last year, and this -- he's dressed as a poodle."

They are making fun of the altered photos. This is indeed not news at all so I don't see how this is FOX News showing bias. It is FOX News showing corporate rivalry in what they considered a humorous fashion.

FOX News is hardly right-wing, they just aren't so left-wing as the other MSM outlets and the other lefties in the media hate FOX for it. Their corner on information is over. Besides they did not alter these photos and claimed them to be actual representations. They altered them as a stupid joke.

The photos and stories that were doctored and created by AP were passed along as an actual and factual. Not surprising that most here cannot make that distinction.

They are making LIGHT of the altered photos, not making FUN of them. Big difference. Also, they're making light of them without actually stating that they are, in fact, altered. Also, can you name any legitimate news source that would post unflatteringly altered photos of people as part of a "news" broadcast? Has even fluff-prone Katie Couric ever joked about how Lars Larson might fare at Westminster's dog show this year? Come on.

That kind of thing happens on Letterman or The Daily Show -- not on a channel claiming to be "fair and balanced" and "America's News Source". Your apologies for FOX are getting really threadbare. It's fine if you like FOX, but trying to uphold them as anything but biased is just plain laughable.

Everyone knows they suck as a news organization. This is highlighting their hypocrisy, bitching righteous indignation when AP released that photo that turned out to be doctored and then turning around to show a few deliberately altered photographs of their own.

Wow, just googled that Mass Effect "news" feed. Just wow...

Anyways, I always remember Fox news as the channel that added exploding van (times 5-6 I think) in their "news" report on Anonymous. What the exploding van had to do with internet-based group that, according to Fox news, were specialized in internet vandalism is anyone's guess

That's right... Fox News has actually resorted to photoshopping the faces of two New York Times employees! Pretty crappy job though I must say.
