The best part-
When the call was placed, a woman — whose identity is unknown — answered with the words “multijurisdictional task force,” and said that the city’s request for federal services was under review, the mayor said. Mr. Schulte said he now suspects that Mr. Jakob adapted the nonexistent task force name from the “Beverly Hills Cop” movies starring Eddie Murphy.

It's a laugh riot until you realize, this dumbass piece of shit might have nailed a few innocent folks in his "drug raids." This is comparable to the infamous Fake Drug Scandal that hit the Dallas Police Department some years ago.

Might? He did. The article has an interview of at least one person who is now shunned by the community and is constantly harassed for it.

Yeah I dont mind the innocent ones getting compo. but Im sure he also found a few guilty ones too. Thoes people can rot for all I care

I am surprised that the first house he busted into did not check this up themselves. If anyone comes into my home I would want all avaliable information upon them so I could sue their ass

To be fair, the only person mentioned in the article called himself innocent. We don't actually know whether he's innocent or not.

It's crazy that someone could manage to pull this off though. I'd love to find out how many actual meth labs he busted vs. how many wern't (I'm sure there had to be some).

Wasn't there some dude who turned up in some town in Texas and had a load of the (completely coincidentally dark skinned ) townsfolk convicted on his testimony alone...turned out to be a bit of a chancer....?

Actually, the article states no charges were issued against him (the shunned person) so that seems more like inline with someone who is found Not Guilty of a crime but the stigma still remains.

... not to mention a great lawsuit against the man.
