Is this Lance Armstrong's secret edge? IS this why his nickname is 'Superman'?

We need to ask some hard questions even if it means some athletes get the shaft. *nod*

I don't think it would help in the swimming event.....would probably slow them down.

China has banned its athletes from using Viagra.

They have also deployed hot cheerleaders at the start of all events and told them to flirt with non Chinese athletes.

Don't be so rigid. If properly stimulated, this thread will become engorged with meaningful conversation. The well-trained staff here at NSG will ensure we all have protection. :)

I understand they are considering banning it from the two-man luge due to the possible changes it could cause to the team dynamic. *nod*

Things could get quite creative on the gymnastics bars.

It would be quite funny if they banned it. If Mr X the athlete really does need it for his marital relations, he'd have to check with the IOC before he could go to bed. :p

its all part of the training ;) (iirc an hour spent shagging is the equivalent of a 4 mile run which explains why I'm shattered after the first 10 minuets)

It would be interesting to see someone win the hurdles event without even jumping.

it would act like a rudder and help them steer (admittadly all they would eventually do is go round in left circles but nobody is perfect)

With enough fine muscle control, they might be able to use it as an extra paddle.

When they win, they can hang the medal where it really belongs.

Yea, but if conditions last for more than 4 hours, then they will have to go see a doctor. Either that or use it to hang their nation's flag! :D

I think the type of competition will change. It will be more about pollutant tollerance. Runners (and others in the city) will need to somehow breath in the thick smoke both from cars and cigars

The rowers and sailers will need to sail through a carpet of algae. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/olympics/article4221527.ece look at that photo. Its crazy

And then you need to consider the chance that athletes will take drugs. The chinese athletes will be under more pressure then ever.

Oh this is if the athletes dont become sick before hand

There will be competition. But the new competition will certainly benefit china

Yeah, you realise they'll purpose-build sites for people doing water-based events, aye?

And as to the smog - nobody's going to fare well in that, although the Chinese are supposedly trying to clean their act up.

@ The OP

Beijing looks to lay down a long, hard time of it for many athletes.

Some things are going to be done outdoors. You dont sail in a swimming pool last time I checked.
