Thai instant noodles.
I have always liked some Thai on the go but I'm not a fan of the food... for some reason I felt obliged.

I wish there was more than one option... to choose. Its a cross between pizza and sub sandwiches.

From America: Sub sandwiches. You have no idea how much I am looking forward to getting to Port-of-Subs in a month when I go back home for a visit.

From Japan: Hmm... toss up between taiyaki, yaki-tori, or o-yaki. Depending on the filling, I'll have to give the edge to a good old o-yaki though.

While I have been known to eat Chinese, Pizza, and sub sandwiches, they are all of the non-fast-food variety. That is, they were prepared from scratch. By me. Which makes for delicious food.

I'd live on kebabs if I could. When I'm in Europe they form a large part of my diet.

"Other"

Curry is happy days. A nice vegetable Balti is a decent meal with some pilau.

Heh, aye. Quite hard to get any more, my local chippies insist on plastic forks. It's a disgrace etc.

I wanted an 'all of them' option but upon not seeing one i went with other.
damn you make me so hungry.

fooood, i had a Korma the other day, my sis made it for me because i'm awesome, then later i went over to a friends and had some drinks and even better food.
And i mean better, oven cooked chicken, pasta, real burgers, rice stuff, salad then an amazing choice of puddings from chocolate cake, some sort of strawberry and kiwi fruit in a cake, more cake. in fact most of pudding was cake.
soooo good.

Sweet & Sour chicken at the little family owned Chinese restraunt just down the road. When they first opened a few years ago I could smell the fried rice cooking all the way down at my place. I have been under their spell ever since! :D

Pizza is my stand-by drunk food. Subs are good, as are fries. Sushi would be tops, but it isn't really fast or convenient around here...

Heh. French fries smothered in instant gravy and melted cheese curds. It feels like you're carrying an anvil in your stomach for about an hour after you've eaten it.

LOL

I told Paul that I really have only one regret about this visit to Canada. There's a prominent citizen who endorsed me in the 2000 election, and I wanted a chance to finally thank him for that endorsement. I was hoping to meet Jean Poutine.

Shawarma. Or, failing that, poutine.

God, if I could find a place that served good Shawarma in my area, I'd probably live there. Generally I prefer falafel pita or curry for fast food, though the abundance of extremely cheap Mexican fast food in my area results in me eating that most often.

Oh...and lox and cream cheese! I used to never like it when I was a little kid and my dad would give me a taste, but I've discovered a taste for it these last couple of years. It's too bad the only place I can get it at is Einstein Bagels and it's crazy expensive there for how much food you get.

Any kind of filled pasta, quickly fried in olive oil with some onions, garlic, and egg, and parmesan on top.

I'd never even heard of shawarma before I moved to Ottawa, but they have a shop on every corner here (except, inexplicably, in my neighbourhood. :().

There used to be a place in Riverside, CA called the Blue Nile that served shawarma. The owners were Egyption, so I'm pretty sure it was as close to authentic as you can get in the US. It was good, so it went out of business, naturally.

There's a large Lebanese community here, which I'm sure enables the proliferation of shawarma shops. We've also got more (and better) Ethiopian restaurants than I've ever seen in a Canadian city. Take that, Toronto!

It's called using your hands, but if that is not how it is done in the UK then fair enough, I have always had my fish and Chips wrapped up in butchers paper, there was some other paper between that and the food, but by the time I see it has gone clear.

As for the OP I choose Pizza but then I like most fast foods, depending on the time of the day.
