A recent comment by a mod that I should put Obama stuff in the sticky thread about the elections made me think.

We have a finite set of common topics, and I believe that the first page of NSG should be a set of stickies for these topics. It would help, and I believe the mod was correct - more than he thought.

So, for a list of common topics in addition to the election thread:

Christians (they're set upon; they suck)
Evolution (it's true; it's a lie)
Abortion (it's a right; it's a bad thing)
Guns (good; bad)
Sex (including breakup news)
Teh J00z (They're good; meh; Arabs aren't killing them, but that would be OK)
Muslims (DK is crazy; the Muslims bring it on themselves)
(maybe combine those last two)
Nazis (in case old trolls come back)
Communism (for Andaras to wave the red flag of revolution)

If I missed some, please contribute to the list. I think it would be a good idea.

I hate that idea. What about the many other topics we have on here? What about individual threads having different polls and the sort? WHAT ABOUT THEM!?!?

Not keen on the idea of sticky threads - but a selection of well thought out polls on those particular questions would be good.

What about the weird polls? What about Ruffy? LG? ME? WHAT ABOUT US! We LIKE weird polls, the kind of which should have never been spawned! It's good to add a personal touch to both polls and threads.

Oh I wasn't suggesting getting rid of those. I was thinking more of some polls that show what are the majority views on the topics Hotwife mentioned.
