Those Crazy Danes

First it was the cartoon Muhammed.
Now, they're eating cats!
What will they think of next?
Is this free speech? Expressing themselves by eating a housecat?

Were they eating good kitties or bad kitties?
Unless there is a law about eating cats, which their most likely is considering "progressive" nature of Scandinavian countries these days, I would say it is free speech and should be protected. However, free speech does not give you an account on Facebook.
I think they've got a very valid point there. It's a shame their profile was removed.
Not saying everybody should become vegetarian, but do be careful what meat you buy and how the animal was treated while alive.
I'll put you down for "free speech" (Cabra votes free speech).

Any chance of finding those pics elswhere?
Just curious. (pass the cat-supe)
Nothing wrong with eating a bit of pussy.
But seriously. I don't really see the big deal; as long as they didn't yank the cat from a little girl's arms and slaughtered it in front of her. I think they have a point that it shouldn't matter whether you're eating a cat or a pig, what matters is that it lived a good live before it became dinner.

One of my uncles once cooked some guinea pigs, with far less motivation or political agenda.
He just had found a South American cooking book with a recipe for guinea pig stew...
At least those guys have a point with what they were doing. ;)

"And the taste: 'a little like chicken, with an aftertaste of fur. Slightly chewy,' the group found."
A little like chicken? Everything tastes 'a little like chicken'. With a fur aftertaste? Hmmmm Count me in for some Home Style Cat Cookin'!!

I realise that I will come across as having a very odd family indeed in culinary aspects, but my grandfather ate cats during the war. According to him, once they're skinned you literally can't tell them apart from rabbits any more. They even taste the same.
He still calls them "roof-rabbits"...

:eek:Its gross but I dont think that the account should of been pulled....People freak out when people eat cats and dogs but yet they still ear cows, PIGS (they roll around in mud and poop), and many other animals....in the end they are all animals
PIGS (they roll around in mud and poop)In defense of pigs, I'd have to say that I don't think they actually roll around in their own feces. As I recall they're toilet-trained (well, not trained as such, nor using actual toilets, but I don't know another word in english for it). They reserve a part of their area for pooping, and keep the rest clean.

Thats correct. Actually, Pigs are amongst the cleanest animals you will find.
