Would you wrap your car in your job's logo for free gas +$500 a month?

I'm starting to regret being self-employed. :p

In a heartbeat. Depending on where I find a job (that is, in Boston or not in Boston), gas will probably be my single largest living expense. Sadly, schools don't usually advertise :(

If it were possible for me to do I still wouldn't do it.

That would probably depend on who I worked for. I wouldn't like to advertise that I worked for a fast food restaurant, but then the job would probably be bad enough as it is and the pay would be low enough that the free petrol would be handy.

Can't think of anyone who would want to advertise on the side of a 12 year old Saturn.

In an instant. With gas prices these days, that comes out to around $800 a month in my case, and that right there is a living wage (especially so for a college student). Throw on a few hundred more a month from actually working and I'd be quite happy.

That, and I've never really seen the problem with being a corporate ad whore anyway.

How about Saturn?
Or would that create some kind of paradox?

Would you wrap your car in your job's logo for free gas +$500 a month?

Why? Public transportation is vastly superior.

Hell yes, I'd have my truck wrapped in my company's logo to get those perks.

Unfortunately, the Federal Government and USPS probably isn't interested in doing this. :(

Not in the USA:(.

Unless you like sitting next to a smelly drunk who constantly rambles on about how he found a time machine and was going to go back into time (True story). I didn't catch what else he said, but after that, I just walked whenever I was in one of the bigger cities.

Not everyone lives where there's good public transportation (in my case, there's no public transportation in my area unless I'm trying to go to one of the 2 tribal casinos or the sub base). Therefore, public transportation isn't always superior. That, and you have to pay for public transportation. With the concept in the OP, you GET paid.

Not for a self-employed clown who rarely works in the same place twice in a year. :p

I agree but a lot of employers here in the US want you to provide your own transport. A friend I use to work with got fired because the bus was too slow, so he wound up late to work often enough to get axed. Oh, and he was taking the bus because his car had been stolen. So I have come to the conclusion employers only want you to have your own transport so they may nag you over your shifts, and ability to place blame souly on the employee.

I'm poor enough that I'd have to be crazy not to be willing to do this. Public transportation is entirely nonexistent where I live, and even with my nice little fuel-efficient car, gas prices are taking a severe toll on my savings.

We have a guy that works for us that uses only public transport ... the only problem is in the odd cases where there needed to be longer distance which is rare but not un-heard of
