CHRISTIANITY (Stupidity)

Kylamus

This post is to talk of some of the stupidities of christians. I was posting on abortion (post 34 I think), and most of the problems are because of religion; furthermore, most of that religion is christianity Honestly, many of the problems that stop US from progressing are caused by the christianity

I hope that you are not turned off by my obvious bias towards Christianity.

If you wish to support your religion in debate post here.

I want to start with abortions. Christianity pitting itself against abortions is making matters worse. They suppress birth-control and (as a doctor) many of the women I help with this are fanatic christians who publicly are greatly against this matter. (I am doctor in south. cannot give name or place because this may endanger myself and my family.)

GBS test is done to detect the presence of group B streptococcus (GBS). GBS bacteria are normally found in the vagina and/or lower intestine of i think 15-20 percent to 40 percent of all healthy, adult women. Being positive for GBS is not serious for a woman and is easily treated with antibiotics. This may be slightly inaccurate because of need of a quick reply.

Thanks. You proved my point.

Not that I was expecting you to get it WRONG exactly. I was expecting you to get it right. In fact I was expecting you to say pretty much exactly what you said in exactly the way you said it.

Why? Because in this day and age, anyone can look up anything, and a true test of knowledge is not whether someone KNOWS something, but whether one states what he knows in his own words, off the top of his head, or whether one simply takes it from the internet.

Because a doctor, a REAL doctor, while knowing the answer, and being right, would have written it in his own way. Someone PRETENDING to be a doctor would just google "GBS" and write down exactly what they saw.

And what you just posted is nearly verbatum from here (http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancycomplications/groupbstrepinfection.html), which is the first page that one comes up with when one googles "GBS".

How many religions advocate unnecessary death or harm?

As far as I know, not many, unless you look at it from a radical perspective, so I still fail to see an issue. Plus, I'm not the one making laws. If you don't mind me asking Conrado, what do you believe?(just out of curiosity)

I'm perfectly willing to believe this person is an ob-gyn. The lousy grammar is well in keeping with the profession. He or she probably has completely illegible handwriting as well. ;)

However, I'm not that interested in bashing a religion, even one that has a strong lunatic fringe causing serious trouble to me and my fellow Americans. I'd rather be specific and go after those lunatics themselves than lose true debate in spam and flaming. So, Dr. Troll, not today, thanks.

There are a lot of things that I dislike about the teachings and what some of the followers do. And in threads about those topics where those teachings or beliefs are used as justifications for or against something that I believe they are wrong in being for or against then I will argue that point

Most know me for that

That being said I feel 0 need to make a masturbatory thread declaring the hate for a belief system. There is no point in that and it is in bad taste
