Comcast, being one of the biggest douche ISPs running, definitely has caps somewhere at some height. And they no doubt are going to want to charge people money for exceeding them. But how to get there, oh I know, crank up the top download speeds people can achieve by some 10x. Let's wait for Time Warner to announce that they too are upping their download speeds, oh, and are giving everyone a free subscription to Gametap and Netflix with every service plan.

That's a cap, which the article also suggests involves a warning and cut off, not an overage charge. And it doesn't exist yet. And I have a hard time seeing improving internet speed as part of an evil plot, other than to give customers faster internet.

Second, 250GiB a month. That is a much larger cap than mine (ballpark 50GiB). So assuming that Ctoan's figure is correct, you get a much faster connection with a much higher cap than what I have. How exactly are they trying to screw us over again?

The point of that article was not Comcast. I didn't read the article, I just pulled up one about the Time Warner cap. And Comcast already had ghost caps in place long before the Time Warner shenanigans.

And here I am on a 20 Mbit/s download bandwidth without a cap - all for €50.00 per month.
