I want to be scared, pt 2

A few weeks back I posted a thread regarding scary movies. Well, I went through and watched a lot of scary movies since then. Nothing has really spooked me. So where does that leave me? I am having to get my scares off scaring other people. Yes, you read that right. So far, I have just scared people by jumping out at them from around corners. I get scared for them, and it makes me giggle too. All around, a good time. I even came back to the apartments all bloodied up, to scare people (fake blood, of course). But you see, I am running out of things to do. I've scared everyone at least twice. Now, I am looking for ways to be scared. I sometimes just run full blast into the woods behind the place to try and spook an animal into running after me. That would be quite scary and fun. I have on my list of things to do "ghost hunting" at some local cemeteries, and other landmarks. I plan on taking people with me, for safeties concern, but I fear that bringing them along will ruin the creepiness of it all....

So NSG, what do I do? I want to be scared crapless. I don't mean, "BOO!" -jumps- "Oh haha you got me". I want to be running and yelling, and fearing for my life.

Also, is it weird that I want this? I kind of get the feeling that maybe it is a little weird.>.>

I think I love you.

But seriously, I think you are just over stimulated. You need to go back to reading horror and letting your own imagination frighten you. I suggest M.R. James' "Number 13" for starters.

A few ideas:
walk through Harlem with a "I hate niggers" T-shirt.
do the same but in the deep south with a, "Louis Farrakhan is my main man!" T-shirt.
walk anywhere in the mid-west with a "America deserved 9-11" T-shirt.
Do what these guys did:

Work at Starbucks. >_>

Laugh all you want, there is nothing scarier that running the shift at 7.30am on a Friday with a drive-thru line up down the street. People are fucking nuts. Not to mention the fact that Starbucks is a lame-ass place to be an intermediate supervisor. You get hated on from all sides.

Been there, done that single handedly while running Bar, Frap station, and DT with wrap around car line at 6am... I hate people who don't show up.

I want to be scared crapless.

If you want to be scared crapless, take a seminar on reality, read a scientific book, or just take a look outside the window.

Are you a dude? You should join the French Foreign Legion with me, we leave in four years.

My understanding is we'll be spending time in Africa, playing high velocity backgammon with warlords and 13 year old kids with Kalashnikovs.

Can you imagine how differently The Passion of The Christ would have been if Uwe Boll directed it?

Heehee, "Last Temptation of Christ" directed by Matt Stone, with sock puppets, soundtrack by O-Zone.

Okay, I'll get back on topic, since my time is limited.

Fear, fear...okay, we go to Tijuana, and you go bareback with the girls along the wall across from the original entrance to Hong Kong Bar.

You'll be plenty afeared until the bloodtest comes back...

Does the sheer fact that you have difficulties getting scared, scare you? Then you have achieved your goal ;)

But seriously, I think you need to ask yourself what could scare you. Scary books and movies generally appeal to most people's fear of death, of the supernatural, the unknown, of being helplessly subjected to nature or fate, etc. If none of that works for you, you should find out what you are afraid of and go from there.

That would be one movie made by him I WOULD watch, gleefully... :p

Meanwhile, I wonder at Zilam's age/occupation... It may have bearing on our conversation here. From the description provided, I picture Zilam to be in the 13-15 range...

Which prolly rules out Jhahannam's suggestions... ;)

Aha. Ahahahahaha. Uhm, yeah. Running DT and CBS while simultaneous making whips and CBB, because hey, who actually believes in setting the next shift up for success? Not a god. damned. person., that's who.

"Hey there, welcome to Starbucks, what can I get for you today? Seven million modifiers on that grande Tazo Chai? Awesome. I can absolutely do that for you. Lemon Raspberry Loaf? Of course. Do you mind if it's a little bloody? I just have to slit my wrists with the pastry knife now."

Not that, you know, I'm tempted to hang myself with my pretty green apron from the rafters in the BOH or anything. :p

Scarey hey! If you want scarey, you should try going up to the emo kids in Queen Street mall and start asking why so sad... And make those crappy emo jokes that everyone has heard a million time...

Other that that... well... I suppose:

ok.... Either Obama or McCain will be president of the United States! We get the choice between drowning and burning! But at least we have choice!

OK, if that wasn't scary. consider reading The Oath by Frank Peretti. That was a rather scary book.

Hey God, I think your hair looks like crap. Also you're not real and Jesus was just a crazy dude in a white robe. And I'm not sorry in the slightest for saying any of this.

2. Browse a few sections.
3. Realize how many people believe that the bible is correct.
4. Realize how many people think the bible is good not evil.

A really scary movie would be a documentation about Jesus camps an the like.
