So what did ya'll do during the time jolt was down?

As for me, I watched the results and then watched a movie with my fiance.

I figure being semi-fluent in 5 languages is better than being semi-fluent in English, which is ugly. You are right about Swedish, it's beautiful.

Dutch was fun for about 20 minutes, then I moved on. It's funny because some words are very close to what they would be in English, but after a while, it's just tedious for such a boring language.

They've always needed it, and they've always found it. Unfortunately, their justifications tend to be things about as dangerous as forum meltdowns.

Problem is not enough people speak it to make it useful. :p

I have English, French, Spanish, Japanese, and now Swedish. I suck at all of them. However learning languages provides me with greater rewards than being able to communicate. It's like a puzzle, a wonderful puzzle that I can decode and share. With the internet it's not hard for me to find someone who will put up with my mistakes long enough for me to figure out what I am saying. My French is truly deplorable, but people put up with it, and I have fun trying.

Boring doesn't even begin to describe it. It's awful, and impossible to listen to. Understandable enough to be annoying, unaesthetic beyond endurance.

Well, I kept puttering around installing stuff on my computer. Specifically, two of these:

(The power supply was a bitch to get in, though, due to the dumb setup of this case. I love it in every other respect, but I had to take out my DVD drive just to get the old PSU out and the new one in. Stupid, stupid, stupid.)

So far, everything's performing perfectly, too.

I also watched Senator Clinton and Senator Obama's speeches. Interestingly enough, despite being a supporter of his, I think this is the first full speech of his I've ever bothered to actually watch. He is certainly a good orator. I rate him a B+. (But then I'm one of the hardest people to impress along those lines, because I usually think about every single thing being said rather than simply absorbing the speech.)

I revised for an exam I had today.
