:D Soft-shelled ones, you pervs!
I'd never made them before, but I know there's a very short time in which you can get them, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
Virtually every recipe I read called for them to be battered and fried, which I thought was a good way to hide the flavor of the critters... so, no.
What I ended up doing was chopping up some bell pepper, mixing radish honey, coconut water, extra virgin olive oil, about 1/8th cup lemon juice, salt and pepper, and marinating the crabs for an hour on each side...
then I grilled the suckers and the peppers and put them on a bed of mixed greens.
All I can say is, wow, that came out a HELL of a lot better than I ever imagined! I want more....

Yup.
Though when I was done with them there was considerably more brown where I roasted the soft shell, and bits of red and yellow pepper clinging to it. Delicious.

You should try them tempura style...this is good because it is fried, which is a great way to cook the crabs, but is a very light taste, so you get the nice crab flavor.

I wouldn't mind getting some of these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paralithodes_camtschaticus
But I don't think my apartment's big enough for the fish tank needed to hold them. :(

Ah, but all of my threads have discussion points. Every single one of them has at least one question if not 3 or 4. People not answering them, even though I usually put them in bold is beyond my control. Also, as mods have said before "he did it too!" isn't an excuse.
Besides, if all of my threads are spam and blog posts, why aren't they moved to spam?

Because you've over 20,000 posts and it would've just been to much effort to do something about all the spam you make? *nod*
