I have been infected with the most feared of all viruses, worse than aids and Wii-fever what I speak of is the dreaded man-flu!

I’ve been sick for ages now (about 4 days) and I think its time I found a cure because the person I caught this off has had it for quite awhile (caught it off her cooking I seem to be immune to all other transmissions)

So NSG tell me: what do you do when you are sick? How much sick leave have you taken? Am I the only one who‘s weakness is his stomach? Why do adults love me so much that they keep dragging me outside?!

when I'm sick, I play video games, read, watch T.V. listen to music and most of all... SLEEP.

my longest sick leave was 2 weeks (diverticulitis) but for the flu, 1.5 days is my average.

and since the type of flu I get is stomach flu, no you're not the only one. :p

Edit: after looking over the poll options, I would say No, but you don't get tea, you get Orange Juice!

I've been very careful to remind the assassin of how I am feeling so they know what they have done :p

Mixing whisky and lemon is not a sin if you're adding about a double of it to boiling water along with the juice of half a lemon (after cutting a little slice off to keep in the mug, obviously).

thats a horrible work ethic to have (if I pulled a stunt like that I would be sent right home) ah, but 3 or more days requires a Doctor's notification and a 'release to come back to work' form. so by coming to work on the second day, then being sent home technically breaks the sick leave into two 2 day leaves and not one 4 day leave. ;) (thus I don't have to worry about hauling myself to the docs and hassling with all the insurance.)

How to get rid of man flu:

Inhale shit loads of steam
Eat as many lemsips as possible, ignore the warning labels
Do NOT lie down, that just makes it worse

Or alternatively:

Become a woman.

Mead, mead, and more mead.

Or just go see a doctor.

I get a flu shot at the end of every summer. I don't miss days being sick (which isn't to say I don't take the occasional day...)

Well, if you'd decided to do something sooner you could have gone to the doc and gotten Tamiflu. Too late for it to work now though.

I tend to just drink plenty of orange juice, take a deep breath and get on with the day.

If you tell yourself that you don't have the time to get sick, you can get through most things.
