Know an easy to use movie maker?

I've been looking for a movie maker to use as I'm experimenting with creating little stick animation movies, and I can't seem to find a good one. I tried Windows movie maker, with MS paint, but that stunk. Anyone on NSG know of a better tool?

Not quite what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something with a little more in the do what you want area. This stick figure animator only allows lines, little color, not a lot of detail *Rambles on*.
I'm a beggar AND a chooser :p
You can make gif animations in GIMP, and there's probably a way to convert it to avi with some other program.
