Rachael Ray ad pulled as pundit sees terror link
Malkin claimed scarf similar to those worn by murderous Islamic extremists

MSNBC
updated 1 hour, 2 minutes ago

Dunkin' Donuts pulled a television spot featuring talk show host and Food Network personality Rachael Ray this weekend after a Fox news commentator associated it with terrorists.

In the ad, Ray is wearing a scarf that Michelle Malkin said in her nationally syndicated column resembled a kiffiyeh, Middle Eastern garb that is "popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos."

Dunkin's Senior Vice President for Communications Margie Myers issued a statement saying the scarf "was selected by a stylist for the advertising shoot. Absolutely no symbolism was intended.

"However, as of this past weekend, we are no longer using the online ad because the possibility of misperception detracted from its original intention to promote our iced coffee."

In her column, Malkin also noted that it could appear at times that actor Colin Farrell, rapper Kanye West and Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean have been photographed in similar scarves that were "distinctive hate couture."

Oh, but it's the Muslims (I am told) who are against freedom of speech. The Muslims and, of course, their agents - the Liberals!

This is just a black flag operation to confuse us about the truth of the Muslim takeover.

Michelle Malkin is a secret agent of Osama! Yes, it all makes perfect sense now.

I like how now we're being told what to, and what not to, wear. Apparently anything that can possibly be contrived into being slightly similar to something a Muslim might possibly wear is helping the terrorists.
Because we all know that:
1. Islamic terrorists, after a hard day's suicide bombing, all like to relax with a cup of joe and a couple of their favourite donuts from Dunkin' Donuts.
2. If you wear anything remotely close to something an Arab might wear, you're letting the terrorists win. Nothing yells, "Freedom of expression" like rigid conformity to a TV network's concept of fashion.

I wonder why FOX hasn't attacked this group for promoting terrorists by wearing keffiyehs:

This has got to be one of the more absurd 'arguments' I've seen you make. People WEAR scarfs normally. It's CLOTHING. It's not indigenous to any group or ideology, or even region or culture.

While KKK uniforms are not normal clothing (even for KKK), they are not indigenous to any group, ideology, region or culture. They do have only one meaning.
