I went to the eye doctor today for an eye exam and get new glasses. It seems glasses will not improve my vision and I will probably need to have cataract surgery. I’m sure I’m ready for it as I have trouble driving at night especially on two lane roads. The headlights of oncoming traffic have a tendency to blind me. The doctor said that is very common.
Have any of you had or know anyone who had cataract surgery? How did things turn out? Doc said after the surgery I’ll only need glasses to read.

I don't know much about it. I hope it goes well Celt.

If you have Cataracts, you need surgery, no input required.

I have known several people that have had this surgery. They have turned out fine and they were glad they got it. If you need it you need it as already pointed out. I wouldn't worry about it really.

How do you perform surgery on a waterfall and what does an eye doctor have to do with anything?

If you really want a second opinion, see a second eye doctor.
A degree of cataract may be tolerable, but puts your eyes at risk. If it's putting you in danger (eg driving) then its crazy not to have it done ASAP. You'll probably find it wonderful to be able to see clearly and brightly and with all the colours too. Look forward to it!
It won't have to be done again soon, probably ever. :)

No, you're thinking of a catamaran. Or a catharsis. Or a catheter. Or maybe a Thundercat. Ho.

Perhaps a Thundercat(ho) with a catheter on a catamaran as catharsis... ...going over a cataract.

Great. Now there is neural tissue in my brain (technically Straughn's brain) that is used to store that image.

Brains are malleable. They bend. :)
It's a common ailment and the surgery is routinely performed.
My mother-in-law had it done and it takes only a quarter of an hour and is practically painless. She is of the opinion the operation absolutely failed, because indeed she does need reading glasses now. She'll be 88 next month ...
Hope this helps.
