Alas, you have just caused a schism in my beliefs.

Some options look like they're not real religions at all, like confucionism, those are rather life-philosophies not concerned with any supreme beings.
Anyway, I'll choose "other", although I'm not concerned with the beleif in a supreme being, I try to extract things and learn from many different religions and life-philosophies.

Taoist. Philosophical Taoism, though....not religious...(there's as big of a difference between the two as there is between science and Christian Science) so maybe that doesn't even count?

Religion-wise, I like the idea of mysticism without dogma, or in more user-friendly terms, the idea that one can have mystical experiences without subscribing to any creed or belonging to any church (or, for that matter, even believing in a higher power). But I don't think "atheism" as it is usually described is a "non-religion;" every atheist I've ever encountered has struck me as being just as pious as any fundamentalist.

Protestant Christian.

I'm a teen that ascribes to absolutely no denomination. I dislike church-style congregations.

I take the Word of God very literally. I enjoy a personal relationship with Jesus, and would seriously have it no other way.

I am a strong agnostic atheist. I doubt the existence of God, and I have serious moral problems with God as he is portrayed. He may exist, but nobody knows for sure.

Strong Agnostic Deist. Some sort of higher power definitely exists, but anyone who claims knowledge of it is lying.
Well, if you're a strong agnostic, how can you make a positive claim about the existence of a higher power? It would seem to me that in order to do that rationally, you would have to be making a knowledge claim of the type strong agnosticism would hold is impossible.

Agnosticism imo(and I believe that's commonly accepted), is the conviction that one cannot prove the existence or non-existence of God with scientific means. I don't think that's equivalent to atheism. Besides, he said agnostic deist, so I guess you can figure out what this means.

damn i forgot what confucianism was, i'll have to look it up later.
me, i think that the bible is the word of God, so because God is evil the bible is also evil and must be stopped.
And no i'm not into book burning, it's far more environmentally friendly to put bibles into the fiction section of the library...

Close. Agnosticism is the position that the existence of God is something that is not known.

I don't think that's equivalent to atheism.

Of course not. Agnosticism expresses one's beliefs about the epistemological status of existence claims. It says nothing of the truth of those claims.

Besides, he said agnostic deist, so I guess you can figure out what this means.
I know what he means. I take issue with his positive assertion that there is a higher power. He doesn't know that, why would he make such a claim?

I agree, but agnosticism is not really a religion. It's a stance about the epistemological status of theological claims. One can be an agnostic and either a theist or an atheist. I don't think this thread really addresses the question of agnosticism.

Other. I believe in a god and or goddess/gods. I just don't believe in religion. I say "there is a God" because while I agree with science and evolution, I believe that some sort of God maybe sparked the whole thing off. I just don't define what my god really is.

And to me all religion is the work of the tainted hand of man, and I can't trust that.

I just have my little belief of god and try to be a good person and live a good life.
