Technical Assistance Requested

So, I'm contemplating getting another couple hard drives to set up in a RAID(I've never done that before, but I know I can find information on that easily enough) and at the moment, I'm looking at this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136073

I was looking at this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136218

But as you can see it's out of stock, which kinda pisses me off since that was a supremely good deal and I was going to get them today.

Anyway, my technical help request has nothing to do with setting up a RAID or anything, or the hard drives themselves (Though if you have any recommendations on that I'll take 'em) but on whether I'll be able to power them or not. I have only a 450Watt power supply and I'm entirely uncertain as to whether I could successfully power the two new hard drives.

Here's what I'm running so far:

CPU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103626)
Video Card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814122244)
RAM (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145575)
Motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131540)
Hard Drive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148140)
Case W Power Supply (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129155)

So, will I be able to run two new hard drives on this without any problems, or do I need a new power supply? (Or, alternate query: how do I test my current power supply usage?)

It's probably good enough (read almost definitely), me personally I'd upgrade the power supply just to be safe.

What would you recommend I upgrade to, watt wise?

Dunno, I was replying to your sig.
Anyways, slaves didn't start out black white or pink. What you don't seem to get is that you may become a slave to your pc. Ironic as they are both intended to make ones life easier:p

Whoops, do we have a system error?
No disrespect meant to you but I seem to have another guys sig on the end of your post.

Me too, I think there is a tech problem with something as I cant seem to edit my own post. That wasn't your sig but it seemed to show up as it was:confused:

On a similar topic, I'm looking for a solid portable HD to back up my G5 iMac. I'd considered the LaCie "Rugged" 160GB model, but it's gotten enough negative reviews (both at the Apple store and elsewhere) that I'm now considering the Verbatim SmartDisk Firelite. Any Mac users have any opinions on backup storage? Incidentally, I run OS 10.4.whatever and do not wish to either upgrade to Leopard or install Time Machine.

Oh, err, okay. I'm not seeing any sort of errors with signatures. Must be something with your browser.

Depending on how many HDD's you want (I figured for two extra), the 450w PSU will just cut it; but you'll be keeping it under peak load continuously so it wont live long.

A 500w or 550w would be an affordable step that would leave you some breathing room. You can get decent 550-600w PSU's for about $20-50 on the egg.

I was going to say 500, but see below.

Righto then, thank you. Have any specific power supply you recommend, or should I just browse around?
