I love that this bill was introduced so close to 4/20 (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h110-5843). Awesome.
H.R. 5843: Act to Remove Federal Penalties for the Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults
To eliminate most Federal penalties for possession of marijuana for personal use, and for other purposes.
It's 'bipartisan' too...Barney Frank and Ron Paul...okay, yeah, I know...
I also know that it has a snowballs chance. That being said, it's an attempt, viva la attempts. It would save this country billions of dollars in enforcement and incarceration. That alone should be worth it in these lean times.
