Sex and the City?

I'm ashamed. I've just watched the entirety of "Sex and the City" in two days. Which has led to my wondering what other television programs NSGers have developed an irrational addiction to?

Do divulge please. I'm bored as fuck and my girlfriend's in Ireland for a week on a riding holiday.

I have a strange obsession with Cracker.

I think it may be due to a massive childhood crush on Panhandle.

The animé Deathnote. Plot-wise, some of the best writing I've ever seen on TV. Until the third season anyway.

Newsradio. Pure gold. Nothing more need to be said.

Scrubs, really. We in my house tend to turn over to it when it pops up on E4, and then usually over again on E4+1. We also watched all the series in a matter of days, often clocking in over six hours of it a day a few months back.

Massively worrying, when I think about it.

House. I want to say it is because of the mean as shit doctor, but I have seen other programs with Dr. Assholes and they don't turn me on near as much. I will even watch reruns that I have seen quite a few times already.

I have developed a fatal addiction to ¨Bleach¨ and to ¨Shinchan¨. I cannot go by one day without watching the episodes. I´m a hopeless otaku of those anime.:(

I have an addiction to three shows:

1. Attack Of The Show- CANNOT DO WITHOUT! ERROR! ERROR!

2. X-Play- So I know which games are great and which are crap. Plus the humor and skits. *Summons Intern*

3. Modern Marvels- I love seeing how things work.

My last huge obsession: The L Word. If you just got off Sex & The City, maybe this will come close.

I've just discovered Exes & Ohs. I'm trying to look it up since I've only seen the first episode.

Other than that, House. Bones. M*A*S*H. Firefly.

I've discovered lately that Law & Order is like crack. I can sit and watch it for hours. But I love The L Word more.

I have an unhealthy obsession with Twin Peaks, an ongoing love affair with the second season of Millenium, a Cowboy Bebop habit that's in remission at the moment, a dependance on Arrested development, and an infatutaion with Firefly.

Bottom (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103376/), is funny as hell, the perfect combination of fast-paced dialog, over the top violence, and cheap innuendo. It is a bit old, but most (possibly all) of the episodes are available on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Os7tWrS5Qwk&feature=related).

Richie: What was it Shakespeare used to say?
Eddie: Um..."Hello, my dear. I'm a playwriter, you know. Come on, give us a snog".
Richie: No, Eddie!
Eddie: Um..."Where's my quill? Bloody Hell, I bought five yesterday! Where do they all go?"
Richie: No, really! What was it he used to say?
Eddie: "What do you mean, it's crap? There's eight bodies at the end, and he gets to shag his Mum!"

Richie: You dropped it.
Eddie: I was being run over by the riot squad!
Richie: Well, two wrongs don't make a right young man. Just because you're being run over doesn't mean you have to smash a television set.
Eddie: Still, at least we got the duck.
Richie: The duck?
Eddie: Yeah, it's made out of plastic
Richie: Eddie, what in the name of Greek buggery is the use of a plastic duck?
Eddie: It floats in the bath.
Richie: But why?
Eddie: It's hollow.
Richie: No, why the duck?
Eddie: It came free with the telly.
Richie: Eddie, everything came free with the telly, we were LOOTING! Why didn't you get a free telly with the telly?
Eddie: BECAUSE IT WOULD SINK IN THE BATH!

So, how is questioning your sexuality going?

I'm addicted to The Office, both the American and English versions. I'm the rare guy who thinks both are excellent.

"The Closer" was pretty much the only show I made a point of watching last year. Huzzah for new episodes coming soon!
"In Plain Sight" looks like it'll be pretty good.

I'm a big fan of USA Network shows. Probably too much for my own good, but damnit that channel puts on some well made programming.

Favorite shows include:

Burn Notice

Monk

Psych

Also, I'm a huge House fan, mostly because I'm a lot like Gregory House, and I really enjoy Futurama.

I should add the following: USA Network made a huge mistake running "The Starter Wife," and on May 30th, I'll be looking to either see "The Strangers" or I'll skip the movies entirely that weekend.

Battlestar Galactica (the new and hence not pish one). Which is great.

That and Reaper, which is like Buffy but about 30 times superior.

He asked about an irrational obsession. Monk, Psych and House are just good TV.

You have to tell us a show you know is stupid, but you watch in anyway. *makes up new rules*

House is the only show I've watched regularly for many seasons.

Nip/Tuck, I've watched for about a season and enjoy it, but it stopped fitting into life.

Family Guy, I used to watch all the time, but the new episodes are infrequent and generally not that great.

And I hate most other TV.

So....House.

I do my best to get ahold of Battlestar Galactica, and I still have the entire set of Babylon 5 on disk when I get bored. . .

But I won't say any are particularly addictive.

Lost - I started watching the first series after a housemate bought the dvds. We watched the whole thing in a day and a half. The fourth series will come out on dvd in December, apparently (in time for Xmas, what a surprise), so over the Xmas holiday I'll watch all four seasons.

I'm also mildly addicted to CSI. The Las Vegas one is probably the best, then CSI:NY, but I've become bored with CSI: Horatio. :p

Benny Hill? BENNY HILL??? Dear God, why? There are whole archives of British comedy which are superior in comparison to the antics of that chubby actor.

I have an addiction to three shows:

1. Attack Of The Show- CANNOT DO WITHOUT! ERROR! ERROR! I think that show tries to be as stupid as humanly possible.

2. X-Play- So I know which games are great and which are crap. Plus the humor and skits. *Summons Intern* Used to be worth watching back when it was on TechTV. Now it's shit, just like the rest of that pitable channel.

3. Modern Marvels- I love seeing how things work.

That's pretty good. See also: How It's Made (Discovery). I personally love Mythbusters. I'm rather ambivalent about Stargate Atlantis. I loved SG-1, but Atlantis seems to be full of the war criminals they decided to deport from Earth.
