Corporate Capitalist Scum - how the consumer means nothing

After some rather bad happenings, I thought I should make it public that both EA games and Blizzard have proven to be the most powerful useless A-hole companies in the known world

For EA games, their part was that while playing Battlefield 2 i joined a server that the owner had modified it to boost his stats and give free badges and things to his account, and when I joined it changed my stats as well.
I left the server because with only 3 other players in it, there was no reason to play, and a couple days later, my account gets wiped and EA games only explanation went along the lines of "you were in a server that tampered with your stats, blah blah, to prevent unfair blah blah, we have reset your account

After alot of email to and from EA, they accepted that I didn't do it on purpose, but with typical capitalist efficiency, magically had no back-up of my account, and refused to actually just remove the things I wrongly gained on that day from the current save they had of my account, and after more email frenzy, they make up a 2-minute replacement of about 20% of what my account used to have

For Blizzard's part, I played World of Warcraft, saved up a bucketload of cash in game, and went to the auctions to grab better gear and sell some old stuff
I put 2 items up for auction for a total of 15 silver, and buy 2 other items for about 85 silver
I didnt get the 2 bought items, and when I changed my mind about the 2 i wanted to sell, i couldnt get them back

After messaging Blizzard, they claim to have NO record of either the bought or sold items

Either way, EA and Blizzard have shown how completely useless capitalist corporations are, when any 1st year computer course newbie knows the rule of always making back-ups of things, and keeping records of things, and yet these multi-million dollar companies have done nothing

For Blizzard, I can dig at legal issues, since I am paying for an online account fee, so it goes near laws regarding consumer guarantees, but since EA games/battlefield 2 is just regular internet gaming, Ill just have to look for someone fluent in programing who is willing to make some evil virus I can send to EA - if any of you out there can make an evil computer virus, I am very willing to $pay$ you to do it

Did they guarantee an account backup or guarantee as part of your registration and monthly fees? If not, quit whining because you agreed to those terms when you signed up. They have absolutely no responsibility to guarantee what happens in-game, and if they did you certainly wouldn't be paying anywhere as low a fee as you currently do.

1) so you altered the stats, didn't tell the mods or whatever and then somehow thought you was in the wrong when they deleted your account? I'm confused on this one

2) what did you learn?

Do you know how much fucking data that would be? It may not be much to record one transaction, but there are several thousand transactions per day per server and 30ish servers. That would build up quickly. Also, AH gives you fair warning that you can't get your shit back once you put it up for sale. That is the whole point of fucking selling shit....

You should feel lucky about getting anything back at all. You were caught cheating (even if inadvertently) and only have your word to prove that you never intended to do so.

Actually there's over 100 servers. Thousands of transactions every day. AH, trade, mail. Every server probably has 10,000 transactions daily on it.

You think that's bad? Try canceling a subscription to Everquest. You'll think it's canceled only to have them charge you for(in my case anyway) another three months of service hits its run-out date. I had to spend two hours on their customer service phone line before I finally got it fully canceled.

False. It's not stealing if you get it in a country without relevant copy-write laws, and it is illegal to bring copy-written material acquired thusly into a country with the relevant copy-write laws.

IE: I can download unlicensed anime from Japan, because they're not licensed here. I cannot ever take my external HD to Japan, as it can be legally confiscated for having copies of licensed (in Japan) anime that was not legally purchased in Japan.

So.

No, you may not illegally download games from Russian websites. You are able to, certainly, but you can be legally prosecuted for it if someone cares enough.

Also, producing and/or knowingly distributing a computer virus is a federal offense in the US and the UK, and probably Australia as well, and I'm fairly certain there's an international law concerning computer viruses between them.

So, after you distribute some virus to EA games, they will spend several thousand dollars suing the shyte out of you, and in the process your HDD will probably be confiscated by the police, at which time a number of illegally obtained games will be found on your HDD, and EA will probably jump at the chance to sue you for even more money, and I wouldn't be surprised if any other game companies take notice and also take the opportunity to express their distaste with your activities.

So.

Have fun in prison and in debt for the rest of your life.

I plan to move to another country soon, and I can just pop the virus through a computer cafe just before I go to the airport

Because no one has ever thought to do that before. Nope. That's not a typical hacker strategy at all. Nope. Never.

and as for the games, as long as they dont know i have them, they cant do anything

Because it's not like you haven't declared it already blah blah.

Also, see what I said before: computer virus -> confiscation of electronics -> illegal shyte on your shyte.

And before you go off on how you'll get away and whatnot, remember that EA has many thousands of dollars in a budget specifically dedicated to suing the crap out of people who try to screw them over; airports have several thousands of dollars in a budget specifically dedicated to keeping itself secure, which includes monitoring computer traffic, keeping their own computers free of viruses and other malware, and preventing people from doing illegal things on their computers; governments have several thousand dollars in a budget dedicated to find and prosecute malevolent hackers and programmers; and I do not have several thousand dollars in a budget dedicated to anything, but I am smarter than you.

I beg your pardon?

Progress from always wilfully ignorant to most of the time wilfully ignorant doesn't really qualify as sufficient improvement.
