Philosophy: I kind of like the idea of experiential philosophy, the idea that our thoughts come from our reactions to external senses. According to the very scientific SelectSmart (http://www.selectsmart.com) quiz, I am ethically close to Aquinas, metaphysically close to Locke.

President Bush/American Policies: Bad/good
Prostitution: Not good, don't have enough statistics to know if legalizing it would be better or not
Religion: There should be no state religion.
Social Security: Good, and if it means taxes have to go up, so be it.
The UN: Isn't great at enforcing its resolutions, but is good at alleviating poverty, curing disease, collecting statistics, etc.
Veganism/Vegetarianism: Thinking about vegetarianism, but wouldn't become vegan.
War in Iraq: An experiment in bad ideas coupled with bad execution of those ideas.
War on Terror: Terror is bad, but the war on it sounds suspiciously like an excuse for the U.S. to enter another Cold War (with all of the suspension of civil liberties and massive defense spending that goes with it).

Drugs: We should legalize marijuana and most "soft" drugs. The others should probably be treated primarily as health issues.
Economic System: Socialism through decentralized public ownership, and with a concerted effort to abolish "work" as we know it.
Education: Should be fully public, and easily accessible to all.
Electoral College in USA Elections: Against.
Environmentalism: We should stop destroying the planet. And we should show more respect for other animal life.
Euthanasia: Should be legal.

FCC: I don't particularly like censorship.
Gay Marriage: I support it. I'm not too fond of marriage as an institution, but if we want to transform culture, we probably have to work through its forms, not against them.
Gun Control: Generally opposed, but open to policy flexibility.
Immigration Policies: As near to "open borders" as is practically possible. We don't have a valid enough claim to our territory to rightfully control who can come here.
Income Tax: Not the best means to redistribute wealth, but I'll take what I can get.
Israel/Palestine: Roughly pro-Palestinian, but very much against terrorism and religious fundamentalism.
Philosophy: Kantian, broadly, when it comes to ethics.
Political Party Affiliation: None, but I support the Democrats against the Republicans.
President Bush/American Policies: We have a moral imperative to abolish US imperialism, preferably through legal, non-violent means.
Prostitution: Regulated legalization is probably the best option here, but I'm not sure it would exist in a just social order.
Religion: Can be both a powerful defender of an intolerable status quo and a critical force for social justice. We should try for more of the latter and less of the former.
Social Security: Government programs to meet social needs are generally good things.
The UN: Carries with it the prospect of increased peace and justice in the international arena. We should actively support it.
Veganism/Vegetarianism: I'm a vegetarian, and I think veganism is the ethically "best" option. Ideally we should abolish industries that depend upon the exploitation of animals.
War in Iraq: Stupid and unjust.

Education: I went to private school because I like my schooling to be independent of the government's control, so I know nothing outside of private school and perhaps special education in the United States. In Ghana, there needs to be less English study and more focus on the abilities of the students in their own languages, which they are decidedly more comfortable in. Special education in Ghana needs to follow this same guideline but also needs to focus more on vocational skills rather than attempting to teach the children things like maths and writing because the national unemployment rate is 24%, so people are not likely to have the jobs available for people with special needs. It's better if they're trained to do things like textile work and kente weaving to support themselves and their families.
Electoral College in USA Elections: Against.
Environmentalism: For to an extent. I have absolutely no reason to believe that global warming is real, but my family has been living green for years without Al Gore telling us what to do. I think that some human interference with the environment is good, especially for things like clearing out brush in Southern California to rid the area of some awesome kindling for fires.
Euthanasia: Very much for. If my pets can go out peacefully rather than enduring horrible and painful conditions like cancer, why can't I? If the person has written that they want to be euthanised, they should be allowed to be.

Gun Control: Guns must be controlled. If violence we can't, this we probably can.
Immigration Policies: Let the people decide who they want to admit as countrymen. No foreigner has a right to dictate that.
Income Tax: Paying taxes lessens my money for computer games, but they are sure needed for keeping government services up and running.

War in Iraq: A big mistake. Opposed ever since I heard from my father that Bush sent an ultimatum to Iraq. Democracy must be chosen by the people, not forced upon them.
War on Terror: Terrorism must be eliminated, but we must remember there are root causes as of why they became terrorists and it must be addressed. In pursuing them, one must not violate the basic human rights.

Social Security: Yes, it is the government's duty to provide a safety net for it's citizens.
The UN: It needs to be changed/reformed but the idea is good.

An anarchy of well-informed, literate (socially, culturally, mathematically, philosophically, scientifically, musically, emotionally, multi-lingually, broad-base historically, geographically, complex systems, ecologically, physically, spiritually), thinking people would be utopia. But Utopias do not exist and the Renaissance Man is out of fashion.
If you call it politics, we should mention that ensuring that the habitat we inhabit continues to supply us with the full range of life-support to which we have grown accustomed is terribly important to us and we would hope to all. If you want to pigeon-hole that you'd say we were environmentalists - as if it were possible to consider one's environs to be separate from one's self.
As such, social policies are important in ensuring that poverty and maladjustment aren't reasons to rape & pillage the sources of resources.

Affirmative Action: Set the rules as you ultimately want them to be (always updating if new information or understanding comes to light) and with time the system you want will evolve. If not, you set the parameters wrong. Trying to fix things quickly or by proxy tends to lead to loopholes and unexpected consequences.

Drugs: Personally, we find even mild ones like caffeine or liquorice too addictive and habit forming so we’re not about to suggest that even prescription ones are good. Drug use tends to be a drain on the health and any social systems. However, criminalisation only improves the price of drugs.
Economic System: Still learning. Smith seems to have over-simplified things. China is the only country I've ever visited with a truly free market system (internally). Lots of growth and change. Education: What's the question? Education is important. Don't let your schooling get in the way of your education. Always question. Learn how to ask the right questions and to decide whose information is more reliable. Get literate (see above on politics) - at least in both words and maths and ideally the basic scientific method: hypothesis, testing/experiment, results, conclusion (i.e. has the hypothesis been disproved? If not, is there reason to doubt the hypothesis? Was it the right question in the first place? If not, you have a working theory to go on until further information).

Immigration Policies: Because it takes a lot to move one's life from one country to another, standard immigration tends to select for a more active and thinking group of people anyway. Policies that distort that trend (both suppressive and overly facilitative) will reduce the quality and value of immigration to both parties. Nation States at first glance looks like an interesting experiment in immigration as countries can move to a different region that more directly expresses their views & preferences – this is much more easily done than countries have made it for individuals but we’re watching with interest.
Income Tax: Currently reviewing this. Prefer taxes on anti-social, undesirable, deleterous behaviours. A tax on pollution or on use of finite resources for example. Taxes to count in the costs that aren't otherwise part of the monetary system. Tax breaks on net beneficial projects. Israel/Palestine: Stupid British White paper. But now it's in the state it is there is too much history and too many people's lives to mess with. Remove the armaments and combat excessive indoctrination. Heck this question is no one you should expect the solution to on a blog. Would love to but we don't have the answers.

Prostitution: Very hard to define the boundaries of this question in any case. We gather it's statistically not so good for the majority of conventional prostitutes although there are medical applications which are currently being investigated (Insufficient information to draw conclusions as yet). There is no single answer to this. As with drugs, to make it illegal is to drive it underground and thus make it worse for all involved. Each situation needs to be dealt with case by case.
Religion: Personal choice, often societal glue. We can’t even say that separation of religion & state is relevant for all societies. Conflicts & persecution to be minimised. Needs to be considered case by case.
Social Security: Without a safety net you get more crime and social issues. The world has enough people now so there is technically little need for all of them to be producing something. It's often cheaper to support a person who is not working than it is to fix their problems. As such, it is an entirely pragmatic thing to have some social security. Consider the parts of the world that are desirable to live in - even/especially for the wealthy - presumably their social policies work better.
The UN: Good idea, we haven't a better one.
Veganism/Vegetarianism: If this means they use fewer resources and avoid frankly disgusting production-line practises in "Farming" (sow crates, battery chickens, forced feeding, use of human food for fattening animals with a quality of life less than an industrial battery...) then great. Appears to have long-term health benefits too. If eating anything different from what your society and family have raised you to eat, you do need to understand the new eating system though. As with anything, educate yourself.

Abortion: Pro-choice. It's the woman's body, the woman's life, and the woman's risk, therefore, it is the woman's decision to make.
Affirmative Action: Still a necessary evil. Every time I think we might be able to dump it, some idiot dean or CEO proves me wrong.
Arms Trade: A filthy business. If it must be done, it should only be between governments, with independent outside observer/auditors. No WMD's ever.
Death Penalty: I'm against it because people are too vindictive. It's about revenge, not justice, and that's bad for society.
Drugs: None for me, thanks, but pot should be legal and controlled like alcohol.
Economic System: Oh, hey, I don't know. I like money. I also like fairness. I think they can go together. Government should act as a referee enforcing clearly defined regulations to prevent public harm – anti-trust/monopoly, anti-pollution, anti-discrimination, truth-in-lending/advertising, etc. – with harsh penalties for violators. With those rules in place, let the games begin.
Education: An educated electorate is vital to a free society. I want higher national standards and communities left to find their own ways to achieve them.
Electoral College in USA Elections: Dump it. We don't need to make compromises with slave states anymore.
Environmentalism: One of the three most important issues in the world. It's about survival. Immediate issues include climate change, overpopulation, bad water management, and fossil fuel use.

Evolution or Creation?: Evolution, please. IMO, creationism/intelligent design is nothing but a political ploy to insert a reactionary agenda into education. Science and religion are not incompatible, but they are not the same, either. They each get

FCC: Dump it. It's obsolete and, having nothing useful to do, it is becoming a problem.
Gay Marriage: The primary civil rights issue of the current time in the US. I absolutely support it.
Gun Control: I've never touched a gun and hope never to do so, but I see the sense of the right to own guns. But I favor regulation: waiting periods, background checks, licenses renewable with tests (no skeet shooters with cataracts, please), safety training, and registration of non-hunting weapons. I also want manufacturers responsible for trigger locks and tamper-proofing measures on the guns.
Immigration Policies: In the US, FUBAR. I like immigration – I'm no hypocrite – but the US situation is corrupted by infusions of corporate special interests and old-fashioned racism.
Income Tax: A necessary evil.
Israel/Palestine: They're both wrong, and I have no idea how to resolve that situation.
