I love my glasses and I didn't mind wearing braces.

I didn't really like the whole braces experience. :(

Braces make a smile shiny! I think they are a great fashion accessory.

Glasses are cool too, if you find the right ones for your face. I don't like the ones that look good on me, and the ones I like don't look good on me so I only wear them when I have to.

Stick to your guns mate. Don't let them push you around. :) It's your poll, and if you want them to choose then they'd better damn well choose. After all it's not much of a testing question if you can choose both or neither.

For myself I much prefer glasses. I'm really glad the only dental problems I had when I was growing up were occasionally falling over in the playground and smashing lumps off my teeth.

I had braces for 18 months when I was 12-13. When I had them tightened every 4 weeks, I was reduced to a liquid diet for the following 2 weeks because I couldn't chew solid food.

I had braces for 18 months when I was 12-13. When I had them tightened every 4 weeks, I was reduced to a liquid diet for the following 2 weeks because I couldn't chew solid food.

I could actually eat real food because my cross bite (in which my upper jaw was really narrow). So I liked braces. :) Sorry it sucked for you.

I'm going to have to go with glasses, since I wear glasses (in theory anyways), and have never had braces.

as embarassing as they might be (sorry OP), Braces are at least temporary while glasses are not. braces fix the problem and then are removed. and if you have the money, you can get those "invisible" braces and avoid looking like Jaws from James Bond (again, sorry OP).

Ive never had braces. But glasses are a pain in the ass. Having to remember them all the time at shit.

I'd rather that my eyes just worked properly. The fucked-up pieces of shit I have bluetacked to my face right now I'd much rather do without. But walk around with everything beyond arm's reach blurry? Fuck no.

Actually, glasses can be temporary. I had glasses from age 3 to age 12. Then I never had to wear them becasue my eyes were "cured". Until this year, I had perfect vision. This year I was prescribed reading glasses (they are a very simple prescription and it's only really for one eye) and the only time I need them is if I'm reading a lot of books and writing extremely long essays and my allergies are playing up, so perhaps once every three weeks?

I agree sometimes people have to wear glasses forever (even if there contact lenses) I know some don't but most do.

That, and I had to have four teeth taken out to have them put in.

Not the nicest of experiences over the period I had them. Luckily, they're massively common, so I had no one commenting on them at all, bar when I had 'em put on and taken off.

Glasses... I only use mine for reading and going on the PC.

But when I first had them when I was 17, my Biology teacher, one of the biggest wankers under the sun, refered to me as a "speccy geek". Even though he looked like a stereotypical scientist; bald head, beard and glasses.

Glasses. My ladyfriend has glasses and she looks super cute with them, though they also make her mischievous grins look extra sexy.

Having had both, I definitely prefer glasses.

I prefer glasses. I hated it when I had to get them, but about a month later I realised that, as well as now being able to see, I looked better than when not wearing them (though its all relative to the pretty awful way I look by default) :p As for braces, I never had to have them, but I can't see how they could improve looks. At best if they were those posh ones you might not notice them too much.
