Me, I'd save Firefly. Great story telling, wonderful character development, and a generally well-done show. It is a pity that it was on Fox; imagine if it had been on a network that liked to keep good shows going.

Good question. I can think of a few shows.

At the moment though, the show that comes to mind is Star Trek: The Next Generation. (My other potential choice was SG-1, but it pretty much ran its course and it's better in DVD movies now anyway.)

I've only seen a couple of Firefly episodes over here, it was quikly canceled. I immidiatly felt for it, I want it back. The same with the new Battlestar Galactica series. They broadcasted that a long time here, then suddenly stopped in the middle of a season, it never returned. Also, I would like to see Star Trek Enterprise continue, although the story is simply finished. I loved the last one só much. Futurama as well, I lolled a lot of times at that.

Some of my choices, and they're not the popular ones everyone rallies behind.

Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future: Yes, it was intended as a half-hour toy commercial but the writers had other ideas, turning it into a serious SF show with hell of a lot more details and performance than you'd expect out of a commercial. If the asshole execs at Mattel weren't pissed at the writers for killing off a main character at the end of the season and pulled the plug on the show there would have been further character and storyline development, based on an old Starlog article.

Still pissed at Mattel to this very day.

Cavemen: I actually laughed at the few episodes I watched and I do like social commentary comedies.

Forgetting the movies, ST:TNG had the best and most wrapped up ending ever for a ST series. it all goes full cicle and was a great way for the series to end.

While I agree that MASH went out when it should have; After MASH may have succeeded, had its timing not been changed prior to the beginning of its second season. The one show that I would stop being cancelled would have to be Father Ted; although that would have meant trying to stop the lead from having a heart attack and dying.

There are a great deal of shows on this list that I would have to vote for

Sliders. Most definetly. Minus everything that happend in it's last season or so. The show failed without Q-Ball

Wonderfalls was awesome and should have lasted longer. I had just gotten really into it and then it died.

Mortal Kombat: Conquest had one of the greatest endings ever but it came to soon in the story. While the show was phenomnal, it ended after one season and that sucked.

And nobody has offered Tru Calling? That show was terrific. Eliza Dusku and Jason Priestley fed well off each-other in the end.

There's so many more that should not have been cancelled. But I believe that Sci Fi cancelled the Dresden Files... and if they did.... Grrr. Terrific potential in the show without a chance to shine.

I forgot John Doe and Dark Angel. Veronica Mars as well, but her shift to Heroes makes it all worthwhile. And Kindred: The Embrace is love for me... but looking back now, it seems a bit stretched and cheesy but was still a good show. I believe they tried to play it to close to it's basis instead of providing a unique story on that basis.

Loved the show nonetheless

And was Joan of Arcadia cancelled? I missed the last few episodes. And those who voted for Firefly. I have to oppose it. The movies what done it. I didn't really like the show.. but when they made it into a movie after it got cancelled... that was just... ugh.

Yeah, the final episode worked well. I meant the last season was, overall, rather poorly done. That final episode, too, did not really depend on any particular date or time or other events, so it could have been shelved and placed say, two seasons later and still have been perfect(albiet with a few changed numbers here and there, obviously.)

I have three. First and foremost, Firefly. Sorry for following the trend, but it's a trend for a reason.

Second, the little known but hilarity-causing Clone High (http://www.clone-high.com/). Freaking brilliant show. JFK is possibly the greatest cartoon character ever.

I thought the first 3 weren't that good. I liked Paulaski better than Crusher but the show improved as it went on. I think the best 2 episodes besides BoBW were Yesterday's Enterprise and Chain of Command. Chain of Command because it was the torture episode and those interogation scenes were great and it got Troi to start acting like an officer instead of everyone's friend.

There was this US show in the nineties that I can't remember the title of, essentially it was about a corporate psychopath who was murdering and blackmailing his way to the top.
