I was wanting to know if anyone had questions about Christianity. If you have seen advertisements about the rapture and stuff well you have been fooled! Now all questions are accepted even rude ones.

I will awnser all your questions. The rapture is a unkown time and date.Church of God believes the rapture has happened but it hasn't so don't be fooled.

A question,

Do you view the creation story as real, or just a loose guide to the beginning?

Are you intending this thread as a discussion out of character? Because it should be in the General Forum if it is.

does this mean that a moderator moved an "ask a..." thread over to general where they are not allowed?

I have a question...

Why is it that Christians seem to have a fixation with talking about Religion on an Internet forum?

I dont think ive seen one on another mainstream religion yet...

Who would win in a fight against each other, Noah or Job?

Well.. Job would beat himself up, so I guess Noah.

Job didn't self-harm. I would also reckon he probably had a higher pain threshold.

Didn't he rend his clothes asunder and tear out his hair? Maybe gnash his teeth a bit?

I believe not, although our Bibles may differ on the issue.

Judas. I can see him challenging Cain to a swordfight, only to pull out a shotgun and laugh as he guns the bastard down.

Would you please explain this passage in Pslams 2 to me?

I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

What about this bit from Numbers 31?

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

But all the women children, that have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

And encamp ye without the camp seven days; whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify yourselves on the third day and on the seventh day, ye and your captives.

I just don't know what these mean.

No. I honestly don't understand what they mean. Am I taking the stories out of context? Because these things seem pretty abhorrent to me, and I worry that what I think they mean is actually right. And that would be :(

a psalm isnt a story, its a song. its saying that the kings of the world have to behave themselves.

the numbers one is a story. i dont think its meant to be taken as an example of how to behave today.

It does, and said moderator is now trying to look very small and unobtrusive ... Sorry.
