Because there is a companion thread for guys. And why this thread?

Because we think it's fun and interesting.

Yeah, I just saw that and had come back to edit my post into something less irritated-sounding. ;P

This scares me. Is that the royal we or does the OP have multiple puppet disorder?

Royal "we"s tend to get capitalized.

Eh, it happens.

No. I am a real person other than the OP. And when I said "we," I was taking myself to be referring to me and others on NSG. Because these threads are not exactly unpopular.

Don't worry - I don't puppet in the forums.

I thought sexuality in general would be an interesting topic, plus the "Are you heterosexual" thread is far too vague, and someone quite rightly made a comment saying, 10% population are gay, but 30% on NSG vote as non-hetero - because hetero/homo aren't the only two possibilities.

I also thought it would be interesting to see how the guys' and girls' polls compare on this.

Plus I got to choose really naff songs for the titles!

I think that the disparity is probably being caused by the fact that queers find these threads more interesting than others. Possible explanation.

Actually, so do I. I think the results will probably confirm my belief and what a study that I recall hearing about said; namely, being "straight" for women is closer to bi on the Kinsey scale than what "straight" for men means. I expect the results to indicate something along the lines that women's sexuality is more fluid than men's.

I'm equally attracted, but I haven't had a chance to be in a relationship with another woman. I blame that on my location. The homosexual girls are in hiding.

I voted 0, but I should probably add a caveat along the lines of "as far as I know." I have never yet wanted to do sexy things with another girl, but I don't discount the possibility that I just haven't met the right girl. ;)

It's possible that gay people find the sexuality threads more interesting than striaght people, on average, as they have had to openly acknowledge their sexuality, whereas a straight person doesn't really need to 'come out', as it were, but I'm not sure. I think the representation of 70% hetero, 30% non-hetero was about accurate in the 'Heterosexual?' thread, as about 10% population is homosexual, and 20% is probably about right for bisexual, plus asexual, although I would assume bisexual makes up the majority of that 20%.
