16 (a couple weeks ago). But I live in a place where there is nothing good that happens at 16. Drinking age is 21, and I can't drive for another 6 months. Which sucks since I'm in suburban US where public transportation is basically non-existent (I live less than 1/4 mile from a bus stop, but the bus stops there literally twice a day and only on weekdays.), there's nothing within walking distance, and riding a bike anywhere is asking for a redneck with a chipped diesel pickup to blast smoke in your face intentionally or for someone who is talking on their phone, while eating McDonald's, putting on makeup/tuning the radio, and turned around to reprimand their child to run you over with their Hummer. And the state's (or, rather, "Commonwealth's") reports show that their increase of the driving age from 16 to 16 1/2 has done nothing to reduce the number of accidents by young drivers.

Si el amor te maltrató

do you usually offer to take people up for adoption?
hmmm cable, interesting.

Actually I didn't mean to sound that way at all... I was just lamenting that fact that a 20 year old person isn't dramatically older than my oldest son, thus I myself am getting old. :(

oh right. my bad, i'll try to avoid jumping to conclusions in the future.
er what do you want at your funeral?
no maybe that's not how to speak to older folks, hows about.
"what's it like living in Washington and is it like living in any other city or is it somehow better or worse?"
Personally i don't mind what's at my funeral, i once heard of a guy who went through a rehearsal, but died of laughter shortly afterward.
yes that was my attempt at humour.

ag, i'm 20 as i've said before. And dinnae fret woman, gan back tae washin yer clothes. (i could try for old scots, but i'd just make a fool of myself as i don't know it, i know folks who do)

Old Scots sounds so funny when you hear it. I feel like I'm hearing an old man or woman scolding.:D

I picture it more as a gruff gutteral yet sharp voice, by the way if you ever have the honour of hearing a woman speaking in old Scots they can sound kinda scary.
I think it's the general ruggish landscape and overall wetness that grinds Scots into a pessimistic nature.

That's curious of you to say because in my experience, the Scots I've met, are incredibly cheery. (I've never met a pessimistic Scot before):confused:

well it's true they can be cheery, it depends where though, i mean if they traveled to Spain then clearly (if they're on holiday) they would be immensly happy, just to get away.

Living near Washington was a whole lot more stressful during the time when no fewer than 7 Soviet prime nuclear targets had blast radiuses that overlapped my house.

But dang I'm not THAT old. I turn 34 next week...

Some of them are working here. But I guess our climate is milder compared to Scotland's. I've never been to Alba (I do have friends in Ireland), but I've heard stories about your weather. Rainy and clamy.

damn it woman, you always take it the wrong way.
I meant:
young=better
old=going grey
therefore
if i call you young, i also call you better.
I've chatted to women less stringent than you. (yes i know you're a guy. probably)

Me: Are you calling me immature?
You: Yes (or something similar)
Me: Oh, well, ok then...

Well between The White House, Ft.Meade, Andrews' AFB, Quantico, Bolling AFB, and 2 more I forget, and assuming a 2MT Airburst... yeah I'd say the only real advantage is that I'd not have suffered.
