Just curious to get some opinions, and of course, a poll result on the level of anticipation for this movie. I absolutely cannot wait for it personally, even if it's rather sad that one of its stars has since died.
So, poll away!

Welp! No need to see this movie, I already know how it ends.

There hasn't been a superhero movie in years that I haven't been spoiled on the ultimate ending. Nothing's changed in the movie itself due to Ledger's death, and likely nothing in terms of future films. I think Nolan!Batman III is going to be all about Two-Face. Probably with a supporting villain of some sort. Catwoman, maybe? God knows she could use some 'redemption' from Bad Movie Hell.
But yeah, a good movie to me has always been about the journey anyway.

any movie that the actor who plays the villain kills himself afterwards is a good movie.

Iron Man was good. The Dark Knight looks good. Hancock's a bit iffy, but could be good since Will Smith is a solid actor. The Incredible Hulk can't be worse than the last Hulk movie. Looks like a good summer overall for superhero movies.
Its #2 on this years must see list.
#1. Indiana Jones: The Crystal Skull
#2. Batman: The Dark Knight
#3. Iron Man*
#4. Narnia: Price Caspian
*Seen it, loved it, will probably see it again real soon.
i haven't been to a movie in a hundred years, and this is the first i hear of this one, so the odds are really probably not.

I look forward to this movie. It's much more dark then the previous Batman movies. The Joker actually looks like a psychotic criminal, not like a gay clown.

Wasn't that the premise of Batman Begins, though?

Not so sure about this one. No one can best Nicholson's performance, so I'm hoping this isn't a step down. The original idea of the Joker was for him to be an evil, well, Joker. If they take away the creepy, Carnival-esque attitude of the Joker, then it's no good. I'm more excited for Indiana Jones, anyway. Dark Knight, eh. Don't care too much.

A yes I completly forgot about that one, it was very cool as well. Still, I love what they did with the Joker.

I just saw the Hulk preview at Iron Man. I'm expecting it to do alright since I've yet to see Norton choose a movie that I didn't enjoy (that whole Smoochy or whatever fiasco aside).
Sidenote: why the hell do people remember the old Batman movies with such high esteem. Even Nicholson really wasn't that great as Joker; he was mediocre, at best. If you haven't rewatched them recently, I recommend it...nothing will make you appreciate the new movies more.

why are they making another hulk movie so soon after the last one? and why is edward norton in it? doesnt he have GOOD movies to be in?
i might have to go see it. i love edward norton. i went to see ironman because i love robert downey jr and he did not disappoint.
i enjoyed batman begins but the trailer for this one looked too creepy for me so im going to wait to see what everyone else thinks of it before i decide to see it in theaters or wait for the dvd.

The only problem with this is that Harrison Ford is now 65 years old, I'm having a hard time that a 65 year old can still do these things without breaking a hip. They really should've gotten someone else to play Indiana Jones for this movie. Maybe have Ford as a mentor who passes the torch to the new guy.

If Stallone could make Rocky Blaboa a believable film and do a great job in Rambo and Willis could do a great job in Live free or Die hard (screw calling it by its crappy European Die Hard IV name) then I see no reason why Forfd can't play Indy and do a good job considering it is set many many years later.

I'm actually fairly convinced that Ledger will, although that's entirely a matter of my own opinion. I'm not actually that crazy about Jack Nicholson's Joker, in my opinion, the Joker on the animated series, with Mark Hamill's voice work, is probably the best 'other media' Joker so far. However, and this is something I believe rather firmly, there is more than one way to play the Joker right- Nicholson worked in the context of Tim Burton's Batman, and I'm pretty certain Heath will work in the context of The Dark Knight, which is darker and more 'real' (as much as a superhero movie can be, of ocurse) than Burton's, which relies so much on his unique visual/cinematic imagination.

I though the European name of die hard was I really wish would happen to the US :P

Big Batman fan! I was very impressed by Christian Bale's performance (best Batman yet), and in contrast to Lia Fail's post, I think Ledger will be an amazingly psychotic Joker. It's a shame he's not alive to witness his work. It'll be my last cinematic enjoyment before I'm off to Japan for a few years, so I can hope it will be worth it!
I'm soooo juiced to see this, even though I will probably sniffle when I see Heath Ledger. Christian Bale has been my favorite actor since I saw Empire of the Sun, and I thought he did a great job getting back to the darker side of Batman (Keaton did a good job, but the Kilmer/Clooney movies left a lingering stench that is just now receding).
The first movie was much better than the earlier batman series (which are enjoyable in their own right), and I really anticipate an interesting and well made addition with this film.
