And you thought that stories about Brittany and Paris were all the rage. Well, we here in the US have been upstaged by crazy news from Russia, of all places.

I guess in the current age, where the wrong news story might get you a plate of radioactive sushi, the Russian news agencies are strapped for stories.

The term "beaver" definitely caught my eye. Is this the future of news? Beaver shots (some without fur), forever?

CHELYABINSK, April 25 (RIA Novosti) - A huge beaver crashed into a food store near the south Urals city of Chelyabinsk on Friday smashing a shop window and several bottles of vodka, local officials said.

probably just a slow news week. There isn't much going on at the moment. maybe it's different for Russia i don't know, but it seems like a trend across the world of having boring news most of the time with over represented interesting news the rest of the time.

Not news really ... They actually reported this in the US?

Probably had nothing better to report on. If it was your store, however, that'd be pretty important news.

Between a giant beaver, vodka bottle smashing and priests tricked into blessing strip bars, we can safely assume that 1) drugs are legal in Russia and, 2) Russia is the hot place to look at for teh Lolz in news.:D

So...the beaver attack was successful. Part one of Canada's plan for world domination is completed.

Of course, Brittany and Paris and Champagne and Burgundy and Normandy and Aquitaine and Toulouse and Languedoc-Roussillon are no longer in rage. France is less crazy than Russia.

Did anyone else notice that it was a Guinea Pig in the picture and not a beaver?

Maybe they have rules against beaver shots.

Well, they have to maintain a certain standard of decency.
