Someone sent this to me because she says the pilot reminds her of me. I don't look a thing like him, but apparently in voice and expression, I am like him. She said something about telling about the most frightening experiences in a completely calm way.

Here's how the story goes...
One day a man developed an awesome weapon: a weapon that fired rounds as long as a man's forearm faster than most could sneeze. It was such a thing of beauty that the designer was forced to step back for a moment before deciding: "This thing must fly!".
This was not a case of "We've got a new anti-tank aircraft, let's strap this thing on.", NO, it was the other way around...
He gathered his entire team in a room an revealed his weapon. "The Gau-8 Avenger!" He exclaimed! "Gentlemen! I have decided to send this weapon to the skies!"
The team members all looked at each other quizzically before turning to their boss. "Sir, a gun can't fly...".
"Oh yes it can!" He boasted. "I will strap a plane to this gun!"
Strange looks and murmurs once more passed through the group. "Sir?" One said. "Don't you mean 'I will strap this gun to a plane'?"
"NO!" The man rebutted. "I will strap a PLANE to this GUN. The plane is an ACCESSORY!"
And like a ton of bricks, it hit them...minds were blown...and the A-10 was born.

The military plans to keep the A-10 in service until 2028 (according to fas.org and wikipedia).
