When you eat hot dogs, do you put the stuff (chili ketchup ect) on top of the hot dog or under?

On top although it has just occurred to me that placing the onions on the bottom, weighed down by the sausage, would make them less likely to fall off.

I PUT the stuff on top (after all, it's very hard to put stuff on the bottom of the hot dog) then rotate the dog till the toppings are not just on the top and bottom, but on the sides as well.

Not at first, but big time by the time I got around to posting.

I'm vegan, I despise meat in general... However I put it on top of my veggie dogs.

I generally put the toppings on the top, I guess I just follow what I hear, topping goes on top.

I was going to add something about a little back and forth motion to make sure everything was covered, but I thought that might be a bit much...

especially when my hot dog is too big for the bun and some spillage occures.

Me, I'll do both top and bottom depending on the bun and the dog. I might put the kraut and onions under, with cucumbers and peppers and mustard on top. If I just have mustard and onions, though, they stay on top.

It depends on the buns, really. Some are so small and wimpy or so throughly split that they're likely to fall apart even with the smallest weiner. Don't really like those, but when that's all Ive got to work with, I keep the toppings on the side for dipping. If I've got nice firm buns to work with though, everything gets so much easier. Relish on the bottom, ketchup and mustard on the sides, and if I can, a little nacho cheese on top.

Depends on my mood - sometimes top, sometimes bottom, sometimes ... ;)

Mustard goes on the bottom. Then the cheese(if applicable) goes on the sides of the bun. Next, the chili(if applicable) goes in. That's a recent change. Up until recently, the chili always went on top. But I find it tends to overflow and lost chili is such a waste. Now goes in the hot dog. Finally, the ketchup. Just a little. Mostly for decoration. ANy other decorations(relish, onions, etc) would also go on top.

I always put the solid stuff like onions and stuff at the bottom, and roll the hot dog around in the sauce to cover it all

That way, i dont lose and of the other stuff and the whole hotdog gets sauce, mustard etc

I'm certainly a top when it comes to hot dogs. Eating the hot dog after you eat it is a given, therefore it goes on the bun first. What condiments you use, however, are not so certain, and therefore they go on top as an afterthought.

In my head the toppings always appear on top. But recently I've found that when I make hot dogs in real life I put the toppings on the bottom. Curious.

I have some mild OCD behaviors as a side affect to other mental problems I can't quite help... I ALWAYS have to have the kethcup on top and mustard tatses nasty (and looks like baby poop). If I put cheese on the hot dog it always goes in before the hotdog...
