Yes, yesterday in my Indian History course, I was awarded one of four Gandhi Awards distributed to my class. I received a button with his image and a profound saying ("Be the change you wish to see in the world"), and it is currently magnetized to my refrigerator for all to see (If only I had people over to see it).
Of course, I receive this award for absolutely no Gandhi-related reason, and it's not even related to India on some larger scale, but rather for a witty remark on the class sign-in sheet. Each class, a piece of paper is passed around in order to determine who is in attendance, and each sheet has a question for you to answer. Some of the questions were simple and generic ("What's your favority TV show?" "Where do you want to travel?" and so on), but others were more abstract ("Write your memoir in six words"), and some were simply profound, such as what I answered for my award: "Who are you?"
My answer: I am that who I am, and nobody else (Except maybe Elvis).
Apparently, it's the Elvis bit which locked me into the award. Everybody loves the King.
