Well, I stumbled across this gem today, I'm not sure how old it is, but is rather humorous in my opinion...

I think that it would be better for me to leave you to watch it, and find out yourself

It's always fun to have a chance to be amused by people learning English instead of being the ones causing the amusement to others who are native speakers of the languages we learn. :D

Ah the Zuiikin girls. I did a thread on them a while back when AC360 featured them.

Here's a Youtube link with heaps of them: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=5E291CF759A88F0C

Note that this is a 15+ year old satirical Japanese TV program.

Here's their web site: http://www.fujitv.co.jp/cs/program/7395_014.html

Yep. But I enjoy the cute trio bouncing around in leotards even better that way.

Not only have I seen it, I've seen it in the wild. (Most famously, I really truely saw the classic "spread beaver" T-shirt worn by a high school girl back in 1994.)

Seen it, contributed to it, and like all ex-pats in Japan, finally gave up as the sheer amount of Engrish is just overwhelming.

Funny story: When my mother was a young child, she had a troll doll (thing with the huge hair). A Japanese man on the subway said to her "That is the ugliest doll I have ever seen." My grandmother responded "Yeah, but they're made in your country".

They've still got a way to go to beat the Chinese:

Or my personal favourite:

that's actually the literal translation of the Chinese btw. Makes for a much nicer sign than just "No littering"
